3 Teams Minnesota Vikings fans should cheer for in NFL Playoffs
1. Anyone but the Green Bay Packers
There’s no hiding it, the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers don’t get along. Especially the two fan bases for both organizations.
The NFC North opponents have been rivals for a long time, as Vikings fans have often rooted against the Packers and the other side doing the same on an annual basis.
With that said, Minnesota fans will likely root for just about any other team in the NFC Playoffs that isn’t Green Bay, which holds the No. 1 seed in the conference following a 13-3 regular season performance.
Although Vikings fans will likely also root against the second-seeded New Orleans Saints and third-seeded Seattle Seahawks as long as they are in the postseason, Minnesota fans would still cheer for any team that is battling the Packers in a game.
Green Bay earned itself a first-round bye, which means the Packers will host either the No. 5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the No. 4 Washington Football Team in the NFC Divisional Round next weekend at Lambeau Field.
The last thing that Vikings fans would like to see at the end of the postseason is Aaron Rodgers and company holding up the Lombardi Trophy as Super Bowl Champions, so that means Minnesota fans will cheer for just about any other team in the NFC or AFC playoff field throughout the course of the postseason.
