Sunday Wild Card DraftKings NFL picks: Wide Receivers
A.J. Brown ($7,000) leads the wide receiver group in terms of pricing but, after limited practice this week, you do have to wonder how he’ll handle a tough matchup against Baltimore. In fact, I might prefer the pivot play of Corey Davis ($4,800) if you’re stacking with Tannehill as he’s coming off an 11-target game and draws a better matchup within the Ravens secondary.
For most of the season, Allen Robinson ($6,500) has been matchup-proof but I do worry about tying my wagon to Trubisky in any fashion, especially against the New Orleans defense. For me, I’m not paying up for Robinson in that regard. The same can be said of Michael Thomas ($6,300). Though he’s the ultimate security blanket for Brees, he’s not been on the field since Week 14 and that’s worrisome.
The Steelers triumvirate of Diontae Johnson ($6,200), JuJu Smith-Schuster ($5,500) and Chase Claypool ($5,200) is intriguing against the Browns as they’ve been more than generous of late. The latter two are better plays for me, however, as they dominated the target share last week.
Marquise Brown ($5,400) has not displayed the ceiling that he did last season but he’s become a much more consistent presence in a favorable matchup against Tennessee, he’s a smash play in cash games but I actually might also drop him in GPP lineups as well.
I’m torn on the Cleveland receivers as they draw a tough matchup but Jarvis Landry ($5,800) could still be interesting. Rashard Higgins’ target share last week worries me, even at $4,100. I much prefer Donovan Peoples-Jones ($3,200) as he’s on track to play and received three first-quarter targets last week before being ruled out with a concussion.
Finally, both Miles Boykin ($3,400) and Anthony Miller ($3,300) could be great value plays. Boykin has a touchdown in three of his last five games while the Ravens may be without Willie Snead. As for Miller, with Darnell Mooney out, he should step into a bigger role, something he’s performed well in when given previous chances.
