Miami Dolphins perfect draft fit No. 2: Dyami Brown, WR, North Carolina

The Dolphins need to revamp their receiving room. Devonta Smith would be the best option. But at some point, the Fins should double down at wide receiver. DeVante Parker hasn’t been reliable in terms of availability and reliability but he’s a talent the Fins could keep. However, Albert Wilson, Jakeem Grant and Allen Hurns could find themselves on the chopping block.

If so, the Dolphins will need a receiver to plug-and-play. North Carolina wideout Dyami Brown gives them that. He’s ideally suited for the inside where he can operate with a free release. Statistically, Brown was the most explosive player in college football this past season.

Brown averaged 20 yards per catch; he was the only wideout to accomplish that feat while also having 1,000 yards.

In addition to his downfield ability, Brown does a great job working across the middle of the field. The former Tar Heel wideout plays with tenacity and grit. It shows when he’s asked to run block. He could bring added value as a return man while he works into the rotation at receiver.

Getting Tagovailoa a weapon like Brown would be like his days in college when he had Smith and Waddle. This time, he’ll have Smith and Brown, and the possibilities are endless.
