Pick Analysis. Alabama. Christian Barmore. player. Scouting Report. DT. 17. 28

There were those who doubted Alabama defensive tackle Christian Barmore as a first-round talent, but he might have squashed any doubts with his performance in the College Football Playoffs. He was a force against Notre Dame and Ohio State, recording 10 tackles (three for a loss) and two sacks in those two games.

His performance puts him over the top in this class and unsurprisingly, he lands with Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden as the selection of the Las Vegas Raiders. It’s no secret these two love drafting Alabama players and they do so again while filling a rather big need on their defensive line in the process.

Pick Analysis. Jaylen Waddle. 18. Scouting Report. WR. Alabama. player. 59

With their first pick in this 2021 NFL mock draft, which they landed in a trade with the Houston Texans, Miami took offensive tackle Penei Sewell. His arrival will give Tua Tagovailoa more time in the pocket to get through his reads. Now with this pick, they again look to help their young quarterback as they land him a new go-to wide receiver in Jaylen Waddle. Well, maybe he will be new to Miami but Tua and Waddle spent two seasons together with the Crimson Tide.

This year was cut short for Waddle but he had more than 21 yards per catch in his six games played and he showed just as much ability to get deep while working with Tua in 2018 and 2019. Their chemistry should help this pick pay off sooner rather than later.
