J.J. Watt trade landing spot No. 5: Baltimore Ravens

Staying in the AFC North, the Ravens were a very well-balanced team in 2020 despite not winning the division. They finally won a playoff game under Lamar Jackson and the reason for that was both their fast-paced offense and hard-hitting defense.

The Ravens are losing some good players on defense this offseason including Matt Judon, Yannick Ngakoue, and Derek Wolfe, meaning they’ll be looking to make sure their defense stays in tip-top shape. They put a lot of emphasis on trying to build up the defense after what happened to them in the playoffs the previous year and it paid off.

Watt would fit in well with a defensive line that includes Calais Campbell and Brandon Williams. This would be a good move for the Ravens and it’d put Watt with a good team that’s going places for sure. The division is tough, yes, but Watt would be able to thrive with the Ravens.

J.J. Watt trade landing spot No. 4: Dallas Cowboys

One thing was for sure in the Cowboys’ disappointing 2020 season and that was that their defense needs help… badly. It wouldn’t be a far move for Watt to go from Houston to Dallas and he’d be put to work right away.

The Cowboys had a bad season in 2020, but they play in a terrible division and Dak Prescott should hopefully be back and healthy. There’s definitely a lot to like about the Cowboys moving forward and Watt joining DeMarcus Lawrence, Leighton Vander Esch, and Neville Gallimore would give the ‘Boys a promising unit defensively.

Dallas is also America’s team, so Watt would get a lot of exposure there. The big thing here is that the Cowboys had such a bad year, so Watt might not want to be a part of a team that isn’t going to make the playoffs.
