FanDuel Super Bowl picks and lineup advice: Tight End

Travis Kelce ($14,500) is obviously the top tight end play on the slate and while the logic is usually to fade expensive tight ends for cheap punt options, with only two other viable tight ends on the slate and no tight end position that logic completely changes.

Kelce has been an absolute beast this year and the Bucs have been abysmal against opposing tight ends, so I will be extremely overweight on Kelce this week. He is also one of the few players you can confidently play at the MVP position, as his consistency and floor could still allow your lineup to cash even if he does not deliver a monster game.

As for the Buc’s tight ends, Cameron Brate ($7,000) and Rob Gronkowski ($6,500) are priced back to back. However, these prices do not accurately reflect the performances of these two players in recent weeks. Brate has seen at least five targets in each of the Buc’s playoff games. Meanwhile, Gronkowski has two total playoff receptions.

Brate will likely be the more popular play, though there is really no reason to play Gronkowski unless you simply need to save the $500 and can not find any other way to do it.

FanDuel Super Bowl picks and lineup advice: Kicker

While there is only so much insight you can give on kickers in fantasy football, it is worth noting that Harrison Butker ($8,500) and Ryan Succop ($8,500) are the same price, though the Chiefs are coming in as three-point favorites.

While I would never recommend building your lineup starting with a kicker, I think both of these players are safe plays this week that you should feel comfortable paying down for if you want to squeeze some more expensive players into your lineup.

As always, mess around with different combinations until you find one that you like and make sure it fits a realistic game flow. For example, if you are playing both Tyreek Hill,  Mecole Hardman, and Leonard Fournette it would make sense for your quarterback to be Patrick Mahomes instead of Tom Brady, as wide receiver success is correlated with quarterbacks and running backs inversely so.
