Buffalo Bills perfect 2021 NFL Draft fit No. 4: Samuel Cosmi, OT, Texas

Josh Allen still hasn’t hit his ceiling, so giving him protection will only help him grow. Veteran offensive tackle Daryl Williams is a free agent, but they needed to upgrade on that side either way.

With him gone, there’s a major hole on the right side of the offensive line. Brian Daboll’s offense needs an athletic tackle to help it work. Texas offensive tackle Samuel Cosmi makes an ideal addition for a team in need of offensive line help.

What makes Cosmi a perfect fit is his athletic traits. He has quick feet with long arms with the potential to move to the left side. Right now he could start at left tackle and maximize his potential.

As a run blocker, Cosmi brings value in terms of his ability to work toward the second level. While he’s not the strongest he does a fantastic job adjusting his alignment and shielding off defenders creating sold running lanes.

With Daboll’s RPO offense, having an athletic run blocker will help Devin Singletary who does a great job on outside runs. Likewise, Zack Moss does a great job between the tackles and taking advantage of exploiting the edge. The 6-7, 308-pound Cosmi has a ton of upside with some play-now ability.
