Anthony Walker, LB (Indianapolis Colts)

Grade: B

The Browns bolstered their linebacker group by adding Anthony Walker on a one-year deal worth $3 million with two voidable years tacked on for cap purposes. The former Indianapolis Colt was a fifth round pick in 2017 but has been a full-time starter for three years on an excellent defense.

Walker is a tackling machine and has racked up 343 tackles in 57 games and can contribute on both defense and special teams. He has shown a knack for making plays as well with three career interceptions, 3.5 sacks, and two fumble recoveries in his time with the Colts.

The former Colt will replace the departed B.J. Goodson who as in a similar role for Cleveland as one of two linebackers on the field in their base defense.

The addition of Walker also does not keep the Browns from bringing an impact player in through the draft but does fill a need at inside linebacker at a low cost.
