3-Round 2021 NFL Mock Draft: Broncos, Bears trade up for quarterbacks
By Randy Gurzi
49. Arizona Cardinals: Aaron Robinson, CB, UCF
Patrick Peterson left in free agency and the Cardinals land another potential starter here with UCF’s Aaron Robinson.
50. Miami Dolphins: Dyami Brown, WR, North Carolina
Kyle Pitts was a huge add to the Dolphins in Round 1, and now they get another solid pass-catcher in Dyami Brown. Once a secret in this draft, Brown is now in play as a top wideout and should be an instant impact player.
51. Washington Football Team: Jevon Holland, S, Oregon
Washington lands a play-making safety here in Jevon Holland from Oregon. After this pick, their secondary could be one of the best in the NFL.
52. Dallas Cowboys (via Chicago Bears): Nick Bolton, LB, Missouri
This pick was added in the earlier trade with Chicago and the Cowboys take a linebacker which might be a bit of a surprise. However, they need to challenge and possibly replace Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch who both took a huge step backward in 2020.
53. Tennessee Titans: Dillon Radunz, OT, North Dakota State
Isaiah Wilson was a bad pick. Dillon Radunz should be able to replace him.
54. Indianapolis Colts: Elijah Molden, CB, Washington
The Colts add a strong cornerback prospect here in Elijah Molden from Washington as they continue to add talent to an already good roster.
55. Pittsburgh Steelers: Creed Humphrey, IOL, Oklahoma
With Maurkice Pouncey gone, the Steelers pick up Creed Humphrey from Oklahoma as their new starting center.
56. Seattle Seahawks: Ronnie Perkins, EDGE, Oklahoma
Seattle added Aldon Smith but he’s already in question after finding himself in some hot water. Ronnie Perkins helps give them some insurance.
57. Los Angeles Rams: Joe Tryon, EDGE, Washington
The Rams add another pass rusher as they pick up Joe Tryon from Washington. They need this pick to pan out since they have hardly any early selections for the next 10-15 years.
58. Kansas City Chiefs (via Baltimore Ravens): Nico Collins, WR, Michigan
Sammy Watkins went to Baltimore, so the Chiefs use their selection obtained in a trade with the Ravens to replace him.
59. Cleveland Browns: Ifeatu Melifonwu, CB, Syracuse
Drafting a wide receiver in Round 1 might not be popular but landing Ifeatu Melifonwu in the second round will calm fans down. He’s a perfect fit for their defense and could be as good as any corner they could have added at 26.
60. New Orleans Saints: Brevin Jordan, TE, Miami
The Saints add an athletic pass-catching tight end at No. 60 with Brevin Jordan from Miami.
61. Buffalo Bills: Joseph Ossai, EDGE, Texas
Buffalo added A.J. Epenesa in the second round last year and now they get Joseph Ossai in this second round. Both could end up being studs.
62. Green Bay Packers: Jabril Cox, LB, LSU
There’s not much Jabril Cox does wrong and he really stood out in the Senior Bowl. He lands with Green Bay in this mock and can give them what they were looking for in 2020 when they signed Christian Kirksey — who has since been released.
63. Kansas City Chiefs: Gregory Rousseau, EDGE, Miami
Gregory Rousseau is hard to figure out. He has top-20 talent but isn’t completely refined. In the end, it works out for him as he lands with an elite franchise — one that can really use the help on the edge.
64. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Payton Turner, EDGE, Houston
Christian Barmore was the pick that ended Round 1 and now the Bucs end Round 2 with another player to add to their front seven. Payton Turner has immense upside and like Barmore, he can ease into the transition to the pros and end up being a starter down the road.
