Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Milton Williams, DT, Louisiana Tech

Usually, when a team wins a Super Bowl, there’s an exodus of players the following season. Every team always has a handful of free agents, but when those players are coming off a championship run, they’re often able to cash in with another team.

That could have been the case with the Bucs who had their share of players scheduled to hit the open market including Shaq Barrett and Chris Godwin, but they were able to keep them all. Now, they return all their starters on both sides of the ball as they look to repeat as champions.

With all that being said, they can use the 2021 NFL Draft to bring in young talent — and they can afford to target players with high ceilings that require more time to develop. One such prospect that could be a great fit for them is Milton Williams from Louisiana Tech.

Williams played on the edge during his collegiate days but is massive at 6-4 and 284 pounds. That would make him ideal to play defensive end in the Bucs 3-4 system. The one caveat is that he needs time to fine-tune his skills, which he can do playing behind Ndamukong Suh in Tampa Bay.

As for Suh, he’s been incredibly effective in Tampa but is 34-years of age. That means he’s likely done in a year or two, which would afford them time to get Williams ready for an easy transition.
