Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Washington. Joe Tryon. 32. player. EDGE. 48

For the longest time, I’ve been saying a team will move up with Tampa Bay and select a running back. I can’t see that happening in this mock draft, but it’s still possible in real life. The Bucs have the glorious pleasure of snagging the best player available.

Could Christian Barmore or Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah fall? Could they take a chance on Azeez Ojulari or Caleb Farley, both super talented but reportedly dealing with medical concerns? Could they still trade out as I’ve speculated for some time? The answer to all of those is yes, which gets me nowhere. And no, I doubt they take a running back.

Instead, I’ll steal my reasoning from the last slide and slot Tryon here. He’s a late riser and could find his way into the first round. I can see them going EDGE mainly because Jason Licht appears to love bolstering the pass rush. Don’t be shocked if they move out of this pick, though.
