New York Giants: The Adoree’ Jackson contract

In need of some help at wide receiver, the New York Giants went to work and added Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, and John Ross. That gives them a much better unit than they had last season but there were some concerns.

One is how much they paid Golladay, but if he lives up to his potential no one will care. Another was the selection of Toney who has a lot of talent but very little experience — and there were other options such as Rashod Bateman who could have been a better pick.

Still, the move that could hurt them the most was the signing of Adoree’ Jackson who got a pretty sizable contract despite having durability concerns according to Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports.

"“If you’re still upset we didn’t knock Gettleman for dumping cash on Golladay, you’ll find reprieve here. Jackson is an intriguing find, just 25 and supremely athletic, and he’ll make the Giants defense better opposite James Bradberry. But he has been far from durable as of late, and New York is paying him almost as much as Bradberry ($14.5M), Marcus Peters ($14M) and Xavien Howard ($15M).” — Cody Benjamin, CBS Sports"

Overall, New York had a very good offseason but this is the one move that could end up being an issue for them. If he remains healthy, they will get their money’s worth but there is that “if” that came along with it.
