NFL History: 30 players fans loved to loathe: 1. Tom Brady

There’s nothing that drives a fanbase crazy like a player who wins year after year after year. In the case of Tom Brady, that’s exactly what’s happened.

Once Brady was given a starting opportunity with the New England Patriots in 2001, he simply hasn’t stopped winning. The list of achievements he has under his belt would take years to reel off but to name a few, Brady is a 14 time Pro Bowler, 3-time All-Pro selection, 3-time regular-season MVP and a 7 time Super Bowl Champion.

Brady’s 46 game-winning drives currently rank fourth all-time and despite his age, it doesn’t appear that he’s hanging up his cleats anytime soon. For roughly two decades, Brady destroyed the hopes and dreams of just about every fanbase. Unlike most great players who go on a run, at some point, the end comes and the rest of the league catches up. Yet, when it comes to Brady, there is no end in sight.

With that said, the rest of the NFL began licking their chops after the 2019 season. Brady, 42, was officially done in New England. Head coach Bill Belichick essentially threw him out the door and Brady landed softly in Tampa Bay. Most were expecting a good year for the now 43-year-old but Brady continued his dominance by winning the Super Bowl in his first year with his new squad.
