NFL History: 30 players fans loved to loathe: 25. Albert Haynesworth

Playing against the Tennessee Titans during the early to mid-2000s was always going to end in one way, with Albert Haynesworth pushing someone’s head into the ground. Haynesworth was a stud during his earlier years and if he didn’t play for your squad, chances are he was getting booed right out of the building.

Haynesworth’s placement on this list is mostly due to his ability to get his own fan base to root against him.

At just the age of 28, Haynesworth left the Titans and signed a massive deal with the Washington Football Team. Although fans initially cheered the move, they booed him every chance they got as he was a lazy shell of his former dominant self. Haynesworth has no work ethic, moved lethargically around the field, and flat out quit once that 100 million hit his bank account. Opposing fans booed Haynesworth for the player he used to be while his hometown fan base booed him for taking the money and running.
