Seattle Seahawks: Will the offensive line keep QB Russell Wilson out of harm’s way?

It has proven to be a wise investment. But just how long can their veteran signal-caller endure his share of punishment? Russell Wilson was a third-round by the Seahawks in 2012, was the Week 1 starter as a rookie and hasn’t missed a game during his nine-year career.

But ponder that the seven-time Pro Bowler has played in 144 regular-season contests and been sacked a stunning 394 times. That includes being dropped at least 40 times in each of the past eight seasons. The addition of guard Gabe Jackson via trade from the Raiders was a solid move.

There’s also a new offensive coordinator in Shane Waldron. Can Pete Carroll’s team become a little less dependent on their veteran quarterback?

Los Angeles Rams: Can the team overcome the loss of defensive coordinator Brandon Staley?

This past season, defensive tackle Aaron Donald was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year for the third time in his seven-year career. The Los Angeles Rams gave up the fewest total yards in the league and allowed an NFL-low 296 points. It was quite a showing by this unit, headed by coordinator Brandon Staley.

But the latter is now the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers and Raheem Morris is Sean McVay’s new defensive coordinator. But it’s also worth noting that defensive tackle Michael Brockers was dealt to Detroit and both safety John Johnson and cornerback Troy Hill signed with the Browns. How good can Morris’ group be?
