One bold prediction for the Dallas Cowboys in 2021-22: Set a franchise record for losses

Before the Dallas Cowboys began winning Super Bowls left and right in the 1990s, they were a moribund franchise that made losing a commonplace.

In 1960, their first season, the Cowboys went winless in 11 games. They almost repeated that feat in 1989, winning only one game. As we take a look at this current group, the talent is truly amazing. But that’s always been the case for the Cowboys over these past few seasons.

The issue, more times than not, has been their defense or just a few boneheaded plays when it mattered most. Sure Dak Prescott is back under center, and sure Ezekiel Elliot is down to his lowest playing weight in the pros. We also can’t deny that CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper are one of the best wide receiver tandems in the league. Last but certainly not least is newly drafted linebacker Micah Parsons, he also appears to be the real deal, although it’s early.

Yet for the Cowboys, it’s never been about the talent, they simply fold underneath the pressure of expectations and we expect the same here.

There were no breaks given when it comes to their schedule and because of that, we can envision the Cowboys not only producing a horrific record but the second-worst in franchise history.
