Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Clemson. player. 28. CB. Andrew Booth, Jr.. 11

11. Las Vegas Raiders: Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson

It’s not Alabama, but that’s okay because at least it’s Clemson. The Las Vegas Raiders have been adamant about drafting players from winning programs and while Alabama is the prominent team that they go for when making their selections, head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock have also said they covet players from Clemson.

They’ve also taken a couple of players from there, including defensive end Colin Ferrell and wide receiver Hunter Renfrow — although the returns on those investments have been mixed. But that won’t stop them from trying again.

And in this mock, they do indeed go back to that well with their first-round pick as they snatch up Andrew Booth, Jr. from Clemson. entering 2021, Booth is still a player who is developing since he had just 14 games under his belt before the year began.

After appearing in just four games as a freshman, the former four-star recruit moved up the depth chart and played in 10 games this past season and finished with 27 tackles, four pass defenses, and two interceptions.

He will be tested a lot this coming season as the No. 1 cornerback for the Tigers and as long as he stays up to the task, there’s no reason not to think he could push his way into the top-15.
