14. Philadelphia Eagles (via Indianapolis Colts): Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida

Could the Philadelphia Eagles actually get a first-round pick from the Indianapolis Colts? If they do, they would end up with three selections in 2022, which would allow them to simply have their way all night long.

But what has to happen for the Eagles to get this pick? Jimmy Kempskit of Philly Voice breaks that down as he explains how the trade can escalate from a second-day to a first-day pick.

"“The Eagles also own, at a minimum, the Colts’ second-round pick, which can become a first-round pick if at least one of the following two conditions are met: Wentz plays at least 75 percent of Indianapolis’ offensive snaps. Wentz plays at least 70 percent of Indy’s snaps, and the Colts make the playoffs.” — Kempski"

Of course, Wentz has had trouble staying on the field and the Colts already had a scare when he had to have foot surgery. But he came back quickly and is expected to start Week 1.

This could be great for the Eagles as we predict they land in Round 1 again and use that pick to add Kaiir Elam from Florida.

It’s no secret that the Eagles’ pass defense is suspect, at best. Adding Elam gives them a player capable of slowing someone down, and right now, they don’t really have that guy.
