(Play on Monday Night Football vs. Cowboys) – We haven’t seen the Eagles in Week 3 because they play in primetime, visiting the rival Dallas Cowboys for the home opener in JerryWorld. And that’s tough because, through two games, it’s hard to know what to make of Philadelphia.

In Week 1, they took it to the Falcons in every sense. Jalen Hurts looked on the verge of a true breakout season in full control of the starting job and everything seemed to be working for them. But then the matchup against the 49ers last week saw them start hot and then all but completely stall for the rest of the game as they lost a rock fight with San Francisco.

Hurts is clearly dangerous and talented but the offense has been a bit befuddling to this point. There is no semblance of a run game outside of the quarterback using his legs and the receiving corps has largely been asked to either catch deep shots or they aren’t making plays. That’s a tough way to forge a path to success, especially with holes on defense in the secondary.

Now, with Brandon Brooks and Brandon Graham out for some time, the Eagles are without key components in the trenches on both sides of the ball. They still have a lot to show us and the game against the Cowboys should be quite enlightening.
