Dallas Cowboys (4-1) at New England Patriots (2-3)

Sunday, October 17, 4:25PM ET

The wins just keep coming for the Dallas Cowboys, who spanked the division rival Giants in Week 5 to move to 4-1. Now set to face the New England Patriots, I’m fairly confident they’ll walk away with yet another W as they enjoy their spot atop the NFC East.

Up to this point, I just haven’t seen enough from the Patriots. Mac Jones has done a decent job under center but has yet to be a game-changer for Bill Belichick’s group. The New England defense looked great to start the year, but got run over last week by a miserable Texans offense. I’ve lost what respect I had for that unit.

If they couldn’t handle Mills, they don’t stand a chance against Dak Prescott. Easily the leading candidate for Comeback Player of the Year, the outstanding Dallas quarterback has done everything anyone could have expected from him and then some. He’ll shred the New England defense on the way to plenty of points.

It’s just not the Patriots’ year, which is slowly losing its oddity in the post-Brady era. The same cannot be said for the Cowboys, who have quickly asserted themselves as one of the teams to beat in the NFC.

Prediction: Cowboys win 34-16 | Spread: Cowboys (-3.5)
