New Orleans Saints (3-2) at Seattle Seahawks (2-4)

Monday, October 25, 8:15 PM ET

The Seattle Seahawks came into this season with so much promise. They looked like the cream of the crop in the NFC, ready to take on some of the other top dogs in the conference. Well, the 2021 campaign got underway and all of their plans crashed and burned.

Russell Wilson is on IR and will be for at least a couple of weeks. That means Geno Smith is starting, which isn’t a good thing. The running game has also been riddled by injuries. The same goes for a defense that wasn’t very good even before the injuries began piling up. This just isn’t the Seahawks’ year.

What’s worse is they now head into a Week 7 matchup with a well-rested New Orleans Saints team that is playing some exceptional football in 2021. It hasn’t been all great, but Jameis Winston hasn’t completely undercut the offense and the New Orleans defense is quietly looking like one of the better units in the league.

My prediction is the Saints get the best Smith, and Winston avoids making too many costly mistakes. The Seahawks get one step closer to throwing in the towel on this season.

Prediction: Saints win 26-14 | Spread: Saints (-4.5)
