Fantasy Football waiver wire pickups, Week 7: Brutal bye week options

Wide Receiver/Tight End

1. Kalif Raymond, Lions

Someone has to be catching passes for the Detroit Lions, right?

Over the last four weeks, Raymond has had 25 targets, 15 receptions, 151 yards, and a pair of touchdowns.

If he continues to be targeted between 6-10 times per week, Raymond has big-time speed and is certainly an intriguing bye week dart throw at this point.

2. Donovan Peoples-Jones, Browns

Peoples-Jones is making big-time plays for the Browns.

His value right now is interesting because of Baker Mayfield’s status and the current status of Odell Beckham Jr.

Will Beckham be super involved? How will Mayfield’s injury impact the Browns’ passing attack over the long haul of this season?

Peoples-Jones’s nine receptions for 171 yards and two touchdowns over the last two weeks are impossible to ignore.

3. Jamal Agnew, Jaguars

Alright, so we’re really doing this with Jamal Agnew, aren’t we?

The Jaguars are on a bye this week, so this may be the perfect time to sneak Agnew through waivers if someone hasn’t already and you can afford it.

One of the top return specialists in the NFL has gotten increased chances in the Jaguars’ offense since the DJ Chark injury. He has been targeted 13 times and has 11 receptions over the last two weeks.

4. Ricky Seals-Jones, Washington Football Team

Seals-Jones was a popular target on last week’s fantasy football waiver wire as well, and he didn’t disappoint with four receptions, 58 yards, and a touchdown.

Without Logan Thomas in the lineup, Seals-Jones seems like a solid weekly play. If he’s still available, he’s worth having on tight end-needy rosters.

5. Mo Alie-Cox, Colts

Mo Alie-Cox has three touchdowns in the last three weeks and it looks like Carson Wentz might be picking up some steam.

Alie-Cox is a bit of a risk because he’s not being targeted a ton, but he’s averaging over 15 yards per reception and is on a bit of a hot streak with touchdowns. He might be worth a bye week stream.

6. Rashod Bateman, Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens’ passing attack has taken flight in recent weeks. Rashod Bateman is coming back.

Even with a number of mouths to feed at receiver/tight end in Baltimore, Bateman is worth having at this point.

Many around your fantasy football leagues probably drafted Bateman assuming he would be the new WR1 for Lamar Jackson. If you can afford the roster spot, it’s worth seeing if he can recapture that.

Given how many people need roster spots over the course of a season, it’s likely that in a lot of fantasy football leagues, Bateman had been cut at some point in the first two months of the season.

Pick him up now.
