The bye week came at a good time for the Seattle Seahawks. They just beat the Jacksonville Jaguars to stop a three-game skid and now have another week for Russell Wilson to try and work his way back into the lineup.

Wilson is hoping that could happen soon as he had the pin removed from his finger and started throwing the ball again. That has Lee Vowell of 12th Man Rising fired up as he says the return of No. 3 could spark a resurgence for the ‘Hawks.

"“And this is my hope for the rest of the season: Russell Wilson comes back in week 10 and energizes the team, the defense continues its improved play and the Seahawks turn those close losses into wins. If Seattle can get to 10-7, they can make the postseason probably and be a dangerous team when they get there.”"

He’s correct that the Seahawks could likely make the playoffs at 10-7 but that’s a tall order. Right now, they’re 3-5, and even when Wilson was playing, they didn’t exactly look elite.

Expecting them to go 7-2 down the stretch is a lot to ask. Sure, it’s possible, but chances are this season still has some bumps in the road ahead. We just have to see how everyone in the organization responds to those.
