Last week, the Atlanta Falcons improved to 4-4 as they beat the New Orleans Saints in a two-point game. The win over their divisional opponent gave them some confidence as they had reeled off three wins in their past four games.

The problem is, outside of New Orleans, their wins were against the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins. As for when they met good teams, it usually went poorly as the Tampa Bay Bucs ran them out of the building in Week 2 by a score of 48-25.

In Week 10, they were likely longing for such a score as they were beaten in every sense of the word by Dallas. The Cowboys scored 29 points in the second quarter and before long, it was a 43-3 lead for the home team.

Both sides pulled their starters by the fourth quarter and it was basically a preseason game from then on. Atlanta had no answers for Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, or anyone else on the Cowboys offense. On the other side of the ball, there were three picks — two by Matt Ryan and one by Josh Rosen — and they even gave up a touchdown on a blocked punt.

Thankfully, this counts only as one loss but with New England coming to town in Week 11 — after they destroyed the Browns — Atlanta needs to get some things figured out in a hurry.
