Denver Broncos mock draft: Starting fresh at quarterback in 2022
Denver Broncos land Von Miller replacement in 2022 mock draft
The Denver Broncos did what many thought was unthinkable at one point. They traded Von Miller.
Miller, slated for free agency in 2022, was obviously the face of the franchise for most of his time in the Mile High City, and he certainly left the Broncos better than he found them, a 2-14 mess that had just fired their head coach in-season.
With Miller gone and his future uncertain beyond this season, the EDGE position could get a slight overhaul in Denver.
Bradley Chubb is currently injured, which makes things fairly murky at the position in general, but if nothing else, the Broncos need another EDGE to complement breakout rookie Jonathon Cooper, who looks like he could be a long-term starter.
One thing that is abundantly clear from the early goings of George Paton’s tenure in Denver? He is placing a clear emphasis on team speed and you can see that with the relative athletic scores of every player getting brought in.
Isaiah Foskey has eight sacks and three forced fumbles for the Fighting Irish this season, but perhaps just as importantly here, he is a physical freak at 6-foot-4, 257 pounds who apparently clocked just under 21 miles per hour on GPS and runs a 4.65 in the 40.
