FanDuel DFS NFL Week 18 picks and lineup advice: D/ST

As always there are plenty of cheap options at defense that I like this week, and with very few punt options at the other positions, I will likely be playing cheap defenses in tournaments and in cash.

Of the most expensive defenses, my favorite value is Buffalo ($4500) as they should be able to hold the Jets in check and you do not have to pay too much of a premium.

Minnesota ($3900) is a solid play against an Andy Dalton-led Bears offense, and while they are not exactly a strong defense, they should limit the Bears scoring as they did the first time they faced off.

Finally, it is not pretty but I will likely be playing Detroit ($3200) and Atlanta ($3300) in more lineups than I should, as I project pretty competitive low scoring games from both of these teams, and with Taysom Hill and Jordan Love likely on the other end, I like my chances at a few turnovers.

FanDuel DFS NFL Week 18 Lineup

  • QB Josh Allen – $8800
  • RB Jonathan Taylor – $10200
  • RB Rhamondre Stevenson – $6500
  • WR Stefon Diggs – $7700
  • WR Gabriel Davis – $5200
  • WR Christian Kirk – $6200
  • TE Pat Freiermuth – $5200
  • FLEX Tyler Lockett – $6900
  • D/ST Detroit – $3200

This lineup is certainly geared more toward tournaments, as it builds around the Bills passing attack. While many may play Devin Singletary since that is what the game script will likely suggest, this lineup will thrive if the Bills decide to destroy the Jets or if the Jets keep it close.

If Allen throws for three or four touchdowns and Davis and Diggs each get one, this lineup could do some serious damage.

Both of the running backs are high-volume plays that should provide steady points while players like Kirk and Lockett are very correlated and could push this lineup over the edge with a big game.
