27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Desmond Ridder, QB, Cincinnati

The big story surrounding the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this weekend revolves around quarterback Tom Brady. He came over from the New England Patriots last year and led them to a Super Bowl win — in front of their home crowd. This year, however, they were unable to repeat, and then before the Conference Championship Games kicked off, there was a report Brady was calling it a career.

But then, there was another report that this report might have been premature. With his future in the air, the Bucs’ moves this offseason won’t be clear. If Brady leaves, they could go after another quarterback but if he comes back, they might be loading up for one more run.

Here, we predict that Brady will call it a career. There’s no way for us to know that the report from ESPN was accurate until Brady says so but there’s usually no smoke without fire. And even before the report, it seemed as though Brady had one foot out the door.

With him out, the Bucs will need another quarterback. They do have Kyle Trask but he really wasn’t a sure thing coming out of Florida. That’s why they decide to bring in Desmond Ridder to compete with him.

Ridder also is far from a sure-thing but Bruce Arians has done great work with quarterbacks in the past and Ridder has plenty of tools to give him hope that he can turn him into a starter.
