NFL Free Agency 2022: Predicting where the top 100 players will sign
26. Laken Tomlinson, OG: San Francisco 49ers ➡️ Cincinnati Bengals
I’m really fighting my instinct here to just put Laken Tomlinson on the Miami Dolphins.
There’s an obvious connection there, of course, with new Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel coming to Miami from San Francisco, but I think the Cincinnati Bengals are going to be extremely aggressive in reloading the offensive line.
Tomlinson might be the best right guard on the free agent market, and he fits the Bengals’ offense as we know Zac Taylor is part of the same coaching tree Mike McDaniel comes from.
Keep in mind, we also predicted the Bengals would land left guard Connor Williams in this post, filling two primary starter holes up front.
25. Casey Hayward, CB: Las Vegas Raiders ➡️ Indianapolis Colts
It was apparently expected by NFL teams last offseason that Casey Hayward would fall off the proverbial cliff, but he proved most everyone wrong.
Hayward ended up being the best cornerback on the Raiders and played in all 17 games.
The Indianapolis Colts under general manager Chris Ballard seems to be willing to bring in more grizzled veterans on short-term deals to try and help this team win games, and it just so happens that Gus Bradley is the defensive coordinator with the Colts now and he has history with Hayward.
