NFL Mock draft picks 21 and 22

21. New England Patriots: Drake London, WR, USC

WR. Drake London. 21. 808. Pick Analysis. USC. player. Scouting Report

The Patriots are a mixed bag heading into this draft. They have a decent roster all around, but they are lacking some true stars to feature both on offense and defense. With Drake London sitting on the board, it makes sense to give Mac Jones some more help. While the Patriots got good production out of their receivers last season, adding a dynamic threat like London could take them over the edge.

While fundamentally this wouldn’t change the Patriots’ run-first offense, having London around would give New England a big-play threat that they are lacking. He is raw as a route runner and would need some development in order to be a complete receiver, but London would be a great pairing in this offense.

22. Green Bay Packers: Geroge Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue

Scouting Report. EDGE. player. Pick Analysis. Purdue. George Karlaftis. 22. 848

With two picks in this mock draft, the Packers will almost certainly be looking at landing a top receiver. With London off the board though, the Packers settle for an edge rusher first to replace the departing Za’Darius Smith. While the Packers already have two capable starters along the edge, they have always benefited from a heavy rotation along their front.

George Karlaftis is a big power rusher that tested as a good athlete and would keep the Packers pass rush as potent as it has been. He does need to work on his bend. At his size, he will never have an elite dip around the edge, but he can certainly build off of his power rush moves. He would be a good addition to a defense that could use some edge help.
