NFL Mock draft picks 13 and 14

13. Houston Texans: Jermaine Johnson, EDGE, Florida State

Next up on the docket are two athletic freaks on the defensive line. Starting with the Texans, they already landed their freaky tackle. Now they look to beef up their other side of the line with Jermaine Johnson. The Florida State can fit in almost any scheme and would be a day one impact defender for the Texans.

The Texans could use some help getting after the quarterback. Their defensive line has been dismantled over the past few seasons and it showed. Johnson is a step in the right direction, as he can come in and help get after the quarterback. The Texans show in this mock draft that Mills is their guy, so they look to build two formidable lines to make him a more viable starter.

14. Baltimore Ravens: Jordan Davis, DL, Georgia

The Ravens, meanwhile, land arguably the biggest physical freak of anyone in this draft. Jordan Davis was already seen as one of the top interior linemen candidates in the draft before the combine. All he did there was have the single most impressive testing day ever for any position. The only athlete that rivals him is Calvin Johnson. That’s how freaky of an athlete Davis is.

The Ravens add him to beef up their already imposing front seven. With Brandon Williams now gone, the team could use a big plugger in the middle of their defense. Davis would provide just that, as he could serve as the nose tackle and situational end for the team. He needs to improve as a pass rusher, but Davis has all of the makings of an elite player.
