NFL Mock draft picks 15 and 16

15. Philadelphia Eagles: Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama

The Eagles now find themselves on the board as they have three of the next five picks, including both pick 15 and 16 in this mock draft. They have plenty of needs to fill though, so this is in no way a bad thing. Their first target is landing another receiving threat, as their entire unit hasn’t been able to come together as of yet.

DeVonta Smith was their Alabama receiver from the previous draft, and it looks like they could pair him with another Alabama receiver in Jameson Williams. Had Williams not been injured so late, he easily would have gone earlier than this. That said, he falls right into the Eagles’ lap and helps build a top-tier receiving group.

16. Philadelphia Eagles: Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington

The next pick goes to the Eagles trying to defend the pass, as they target the fourth cornerback of the first round. While Trent McDuffie is a far cry from the top cornerbacks in the draft, he has plenty of traits that are worth building around. He is a fine athlete that has the size and flexibility to play either at the outside cornerback spot or inside in the slot.

McDuffie would be another starter to play next to Darius Slay. The Eagles have been far from consistent in terms of their defensive backs play. McDuffie would ideally help them solidify a starting duo and allow Avonte Maddox to be the slot option only. His flexibility would make him a welcomed asset to this defense.
