Three best landing spots for DK Metcalf

2. New York Jets

The New York Jets are apparently ready to pounce on a potential DK Metcalf trade.  They’re set to enter year two of the Zach Wilson era, and Wilson is going to need to show more than he did last year if the Jets decide to stick with him.

There may be no better thing to do than to give him an elite receiver.

Even better, this would be an out-of-conference trade, so I think Seattle would be more than willing to do this.

The Jets have OK weapons.  Corey Davis signed in free agency last year, and they drafted Elijah Moore.

Denzel Mims has been a bust, and Braxton Berrios is one of those “every once in a while flashy utility player” guys.

DK Metcalf gives the Jets a true WR1 and Zach Wilson a huge weapon, figuratively and literally. What’s even juicier about this is the Jets having the 4th and 10th overall picks.

The 10th overall pick came from Seattle when they traded for Jamal Adams.  Could the Jets give Seattle their 10th overall pick back for DK Metcalf?  Maybe.

The Jets might think that’s too rich for Metcalf, but I bet Seattle is wanting that pick back after that abysmal trade for Adams a few years ago.
