19. Saquon Barkley, New York Giants
2021 stats:
- 856 yards from scrimmage
- 4 total touchdowns
- 41 receptions
I think this ranking for Saquon Barkley is going to be viewed as disrespectful based on his talent, but what has the guy done lately?
He’s played just 15 games over the last two seasons and having too much respect for his talent has gotten many fantasy football managers burned in recent years.
I think Barkley needs a change of scenery, but then again, the arrival of Brian Daboll as the head coach in New York could serve as an effective enough “change of scenery” to help the former no. 2 overall pick rebound his career.
Barkley’s talent is tremendous. His work ethic is undeniable.
Unfortunately, the Giants just haven’t been able to get him back to the level we saw in 2018 or even 2019.
At 100 percent health, I think Barkley is a threat to win the rushing crown in the NFL. Especially after the Giants went out this offseason and landed Mark Glowinski and Evan Neal as upgrades to their offensive line, Barkley could be poised for a massive (contract) season.
