The Tennessee Titans have one of the exciting schedules in the NFL for 2022, featuring a mix of non-division opponents, NFC powerhouses, and primetime games.

The 2022 Tennessee Titans schedule has officially been revealed and fans are in for an absolute feast of fantastic football this season.

The Titans are going to be road warriors to start off the season, playing three of their first five games on the road before being awarded an early-season “bye” in Week 6.

The Titans only have back-to-back home games once this season, which won’t come until Week 16 and Week 17 when they face Houston and Dallas, respectively.

Tennessee looks to have at least four prime-time games in front of a national viewing audience, a chance for NFL fans to see superstar running back Derrick Henry and 2022 first-round pick wide receiver Treylon Burks.

Will we ever see rookie QB Malik Willis take the field? It’s way too early to predict if or when that may happen, but fans are likely to have a short leash for incumbent veteran QB Ryan Tannehill.

How many interceptions will they allow from Tannehill? How many bad plays or empty drives will it take before the fans start to get vocal about seeing Willis on the field?

There could be a lot of drama in Nashville this season, especially after Tannehill renounced any responsibility to mentor Willis.

Let’s take a look at some of the biggest, best, and most exciting matchups for the Tennessee Titans during the 2022 NFL season.

No. 6: New York Giants at Tennessee Titans, Week 1

Date: Sunday, September 11
TV: FOX

No list would be complete without a Week 1 game, finally getting to relish in the game we love after a long summer of watching transactions, training camps, etc. So, the inclusion of Week 1 vs the Giants is a no brainer for me.

While these two teams squared off in New York in their last meeting (2018), this will be the first time in nearly a decade that the G-Men have made the trip to the Music City.

We’ll get our first look at a retooled Tennessee offense that will feature first-round draft pick Treylon Burks, a wide receiver out of Arkansas, along with newly acquired WR Robert Woods and TE Austin Hooper.

We’re extremely unlikely to see rookie QB Malik Willis compete in the game, but you never know.

Last meeting: December 16, 2018
Result: Titans 17, Giants 0

No. 5: Dallas Cowboys at Tennessee Titans, Week 17

Date: Thursday, December 29
TV: Prime Video

“America’s Favorite Team,” the Dallas Cowboys, heads to Nashville to face the Titans for the first time since 2018.

Dak Prescott and the Cowboys will be making their visit in Week 17, which is the penultimate season finale.

Even though this is a non-conference game, it’s one that could very likely have massive implications in their respective division standings with this game taking place so late in the season.

Prescott is one of the most talented quarterbacks in the NFL, watching him attempt to pick apart the Titans’ defense should be fun. But, Head Coach Mike Vrabel is a great tactician and will implement a challenging defense to push him to the limit in this game.

Result: Titans 28, Cowboys 14

No. 4: Tennessee Titans at Green Bay Packers, Week 11

Date: Thursday, November 17
TV: Prime Video

One of the great Ryan Tannehill Titans-era moments come during the last meeting between Green Bay and Tennessee. Amid a snow-covered Lambeau Field, Tannehill pulled off an amazing quarterback-keeper in the third quarter.

He faked a handoff to Henry on 3rd-and-1, kept it himself, and sprinted past the Packer defense for a 45-yard touchdown in that game. The notoriously slow-moving Tannehill fooled everyone on that play.

Will Tannehill have some more magic up his sleeve in this rematch from two seasons ago?

The Titans will be facing the reigning NFL MVP in Aaron Rodgers, someone that was linked to Tennessee this past offseason due to rampant rumors that he was unhappy in Green Bay.

Last meeting: December 27, 2020
Result: Titans 14, Packers 40

No. 3: Denver Broncos at Tennessee Titans, Week 10

Date: Sunday, November 13
TV: CBS

The Titans will get their first look at Russell Wilson as a Denver Bronco after a long, storied career with the Seattle Seahawks when his new team heads to Nashville in the middle of the season.

By the time the Titans meet the Broncos in Week 10, these teams will likely have their respective identities forged and will be operating at their full and best potential.

Wilson is a top-tier quarterback and will present a massive challenge to the Titans. His ability to extend plays is masterful and he’s a proven winner. This is going to be an exciting game to watch from a fan perspective.

No. 2: Tennessee Titans at Buffalo Bills, Week 2

Date: Monday, September 19
TV: ESPN

Tennessee faces a huge test in Week 2 when they travel to take on Buffalo in front of a national audience on MNF. Last season’s meeting between these two teams was a phenomenal game that saw Derrick Henry exact his fury against the Bills’ defense.

Henry racked up 143 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns on 20 attempts against Buffalo last season. It was one of his best performances of the 2021 season.

Henry and the Titans imposed their will on the Bills last season, scoring 34 points on one of the best defenses in the league last season. After the Titans game, Buffalo only allowed one team to score more than 34 points on them the rest of the regular season— the Colts (41 points) in Week 11.

Last meeting: October 18, 2021
Result: Titans 34, Bills 31

No. 1: Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs, Week 9

Date: Sunday, November 6
TV: NBC

The biggest game on the schedule for the Titans has to be the team’s SNF matchup with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9.

The game is smack-dab in the middle of the season and will be one of the toughest games of the whole season.

The Titans were outstanding against the Chiefs last season, but Patrick Mahomes had a very bad game, throwing for just 206 passing yards and leading his team in rushing with 35 yards.

Those results are unlikely to be duplicated this time around, but the results should be infinitely more entertaining.

Last meeting: October 24, 2021
Result: Titans 27, Chiefs 3
