Tennessee Titans: Reggie Roberson Jr., WR, SMU

Pick Analysis. WR. player. 35. Scouting Report. WR. SMU. Reggie Roberson, Jr.

The Tennessee Titans went into the 2021 season with a dangerous wide receiver corps, on paper anyway. They had just lost Corey Davis who was a solid No. 2 option across from A.J. Brown but they replaced him with Julio Jones — who they added in a trade with the Atlanta Falcons.

Heading into 2022, neither player is on the roster. Jones ended up struggling to stay healthy and finished with just 31 receptions for 434 yards and a single touchdown in 10 games. He was released after the season and has yet to sign with a new team.

As for Brown, he continued to play well but was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles during the draft for a Round 1 selection. Tennessee ended up taking Treylon Burks from Arkansas, who is similar to Brown in his playing style but doesn’t have any experience in the NFL just yet.

They also added Robert Woods who is a solid option in his own rights but there’s not much else to speak of on the receiving corps. That’s why it was a smart move for SMU product Reggie Roberson, Jr. to sign with the Titans after going undrafted.

Roberson never hit the 1,000-yard mark for the Mustangs but he twice topped the 800-yard mark and was averaging more than 21-yards per reception in 2020 in five games during an injury-shortened season.

He’s a solid route runner with good hands and could prove to be a great find for the Titans.
