NFL Draft: Re-drafting the quarterback-loaded 2020 NFL Draft
5. Miami Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama
Original pick: Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama
Doesn’t it feel like the Miami Dolphins are hellbent on having Tua Tagovailoa around regardless of what could have been?
It doesn’t seem like this is a pick they regret. In fact, it seems like this is a hill they are willing to die on.
Through his first two seasons, Tua Tagovailoa has been underwhelming compared to some of his peers in this class.
But the Miami Dolphins love him, they are building around him, and if given the chance, it seems to me like they would do this all over again.
6. Los Angeles Chargers: AJ Terrell, CB, Clemson
Original pick: Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon
In this scenario, the Los Angeles Chargers miss out on Justin Herbert, which would be horrendous for them, but they do land a player that many thought was over-drafted at the time.
When the Atlanta Falcons took AJ Terrell with the 16th overall selection in this draft, they were laughed at by a lot of fans and pundits who felt like it was arguably the biggest reach in the Draft.
It felt like it at the time, but in his first two years in the NFL, AJ Terrell has absolutely cemented himself as one of the best young cornerbacks in the game and one of the best cornerbacks regardless of age.
This guy is a stud and an absolutely elite playmaker on the outside.
