The Los Angeles Rams had their first game as defending NFL Champions on Thursday Night Football, and it couldn’t have gone much worse. Facing the Buffalo Bills, they were able to enter halftime tied at 10 but had it not been for a couple of turnovers by Buffalo, it would have been a huge lead for the road team.

Buffalo then scored another 21 points unanswered finishing with a 31-10 win. Los Angeles had no answers for Josh Allen or Stefon Diggs and never forced a punt the entire game. Even worse was the fact that Matthew Stafford had three picks on the night, and it seemed as though no one outside of Cooper Kupp was ready for this game.

It doesn’t mean their season is over, but they’re going to have to get a few things figured out in order to right the ship.

9. Miami Dolphins

Tyreek Hill delivered in his first game with the Miami Dolphins, pulling in eight receptions for 94 yards. Jaylen Waddle added 69 yards and a touchdown as Mike McDaniel won his first game as a head coach. Their win over New England was huge but the run game left a lot to be desired.

McDaniel comes from the Kyle Shanahan tree so it was expected he could fix this area of concern but their first outing wasn’t great. Chase Edmonds had 25 yards on 12 carries and they finished with 65 on 23 carries as a team.

The defense was still the star of the game, holding the Patriots to just 271 yards and seven points.
