2022 NFL picks, score predictions in Week 2
Cincinnati Bengals (0-1) at Dallas Cowboys (0-1)
Sunday, September 18, 4:25PM ET
We’re going to chalk that up to a fluke, right? There’s no way Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals are going to be that bad this season. There are some legitimate concerns, but they’ll find a way to right the ship and get back in the hunt for their second consecutive AFC title.
Unfortunately, there likely won’t be much legitimate contention this year for the Dallas Cowboys. Not only were they a mess in their Week 1 game blowout loss, but they also lost Dak Prescott for a significant amount of time to a hand injury. I don’t see Cooper Rush doing anywhere near enough to keep them in the mix until Prescott returns.
Even if Prescott was available, I still don’t think the Cowboys would come away from this one victorious. The offense was in shambles, as the offensive line was dominated by the Tampa Bay front all night long. The Bengals are more than capable of doing similar damage in Week 2.
Burrow enjoys a bounce-back game, looking like the quarterback that took the Bengals to the Super Bowl a season ago. Ja’Marr Chase does his thing, Joe Mixon gets going as well, and Cincinnati puts on a show. As for the Cowboys, they start wondering if a mulligan is possible.
Prediction: Bengals win 28-10
