No. 2 team in the AFC South ahead of Week 3: The Tennessee Titans

35. . 0-2. . Tennessee Titans. 2. team

The Tennesee Titans made the playoffs in 2021 and they did it despite not having running back Derrick Henry for half the season. But there’s turnover in the NFL from one year to another and the Titans are 0-2 after a couple of uninspiring performances. First, they lost to the New York Giants in the opener and they were next dismantled by a Buffalo Bills team that looks like a Super Bowl contender.

Henry has been a shelf of his former self, toting the rock 34 times for 107 yards with one touchdown over the last two weeks. That stat line doesn’t look that bad at first sight but you then realize that the player also known as the King is averaging a subpar 3.1 yards per carry.

As expected, Ryan Tannehill struggled to put the team on his shoulders without a consistent running game forcing the Bills to stack up the box. The veteran quarterback completed just 55 percent of his passes for 117 yards with two interceptions. The Titans’ defense could only do so much and ended up allowing 41 points.

Tennessee will next face off against a Las Vegas Raiders that is also 0-2. Barring a tie, one of the two teams will get their first win of the year, and it might not be the Titans if they keep playing the way they have.
