DT. Pick Analysis. Clemson. Bryan Bresee. 20. player. 13. Scouting Report

20. Los Angeles Chargers: Bryan Bresee, DT, Clemson

Known for their offensive prowess thanks to the way Justin Herbert can throw the ball all around the field, the Los Angeles Chargers have also developed a habit of allowing teams to score on them late. One way to stop that would be to make life more difficult on the opposing quarterback.

They’ve invested heavily in this plan with the addition of Khalil Mack and J.C. Jackson this offseason to a defense that already had Derwin James and Joey Bosa. Unfortunately, they’ve had to deal with a lot of injuries and the interior of their line could stand an upgrade.

That leads to Bryan Bresee’s name being called here. A 6-foot-5, 300-pounder, Bresee should help provide a push in the middle and while his numbers might not jump off the page, he will help free up some of his more explosive teammates thanks to the attention he commands.

Scouting Report. Florida. Anthony Richardson. Pick Analysis. QB. 21. player. 31

21. New York Giants: Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida

Daniel Jones is not the answer, and the New York Giants have to know this by now. The only problem is that they’re winning too much to land one of the top quarterbacks, so they have to go with a Wild Card that could develop into a starter one day.

Anthony Richardson has shown a lot in his career — both good and bad. He’s thrown too many interceptions and not enough touchdowns but the 6-foot-4, 236-pounder can also destroy teams with his legs. With the right coaching, he could become a weapon, even if it feels like a stretch here.
