22. Baltimore Ravens: Christian Gonzalez, CB, Oregon
The contract negotiations between the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson will take center stage this offseason after they failed to come to an agreement before this year began. While locking him up will be important, they also need to figure out how to fix their secondary which has been getting ripped apart in 2022.
Enter Christian Gonzalez from Oregon. A transfer from Colorado, Gonzalez is a bit of a projection pick that has flashed in coverage. Baltimore can use someone with his length and willingness to attack the ball carrier as they look to get back to respectability on defense.
23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas
Leonard Fournette hasn’t been what the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had hoped for this season as he continues his up-and-down tenure with them. They have a desire to be able to threaten with the passing game and with him averaging less than four yards per attempt, they’ve been unable to do this.
That leads to the selection of Bijan Robinson from Texas. Listed at 6-foot-0 and 215-pounds, Robinson looks the part of an NFL back and had a breakout campaign in his sophomore season. He’s continued to run hard but he’s also a weapon in the passing game and if Tom Brady returns, the running backs will continue to see passes come their way.
