Noah Sewell. 26. 60. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. LB. Oregon. player

26. Minnesota Vikings: Noah Sewell, LB, Oregon

The Minnesota Vikings have two linebackers who accumulate stats at a high rate with Eric Kendricks and Jordan Hicks on the roster. They’re both also 30 years old and are due a lot of money. Kendricks will count for more than $11 million whereas Hicks will be at $6.5 million. They’re also expected to be close to the cap which makes Kendricks an enticing cut (he would save them $9.5 million) although Hicks could also be in trouble ($5 million would come off the books if he were cut).

To make this more possible, the Vikings bring in Noah Sewell from Oregon. The 6-foot-3, 250r-pound linebacker recorded 114 tackles and four sacks in 2021 and is off to another strong start in 2022.

DT. Florida. Gervon Dexter. 27. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. 50

27. Detroit Lions (via Los Angeles Rams): Gervon Dexter, DT, Florida

The Lions added Kelee Ringo earlier in our 2023 NFL Mock Draft and they go right back to the defensive side of the ball with their second pick — which comes courtesy of the Los Angeles Rams.

Here, they add Gervon Dexter from Florida, adding a 6-foot-6, 303-pounder to a line that was already vastly improved with the addition of Aidan Hutchinson in 2022. Dexter can clog up the middle of the line and has long arms that can cloud a quarterback’s view. He recorded 50 tackles in 2021 and has 17 with a pick in 2022.
