Fantasy Football waiver wire, Week 10: Quarterbacks

1. Justin Fields, Bears

You may remember me writing about Justin Fields after Week 6. After finishing as QB8 that week, he has since finished as QB5 in Week 7, QB5 in Week 8, and QB1 in Week 9. He did so by scoring 4 total touchdowns and rushing for 178 yards, a new regular season record for quarterbacks (yes, that includes Michael Vick and Lamar Jackson). His sudden emergence over the past few weeks may be one of the reasons why the new front office chose to build around him, and traded away a 2023 2nd-round pick in exchange for Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool.

Still available in 39% of NFL.com fantasy leagues, this may be your last chance to pick up Fields. With his rushing upside, he is likely a top-10 fantasy football quarterback for the rest of the season. With a negative game script due to defensive woes, he does everything he can on offense to help his team win, which is the kind of player that can help your fantasy team win. He is a priority add in all formats and worth starting in one-QB and two-QB leagues

If he’s still available, Daniel Jones, Giants

If he’s recently become available, Jimmy Garoppolo

Fantasy Football waiver wire, Week 10: Tight Ends

1. Cade Otton, Buccaneers

You may remember me writing about Cade Otton after Week 6, as well. I promise that’s the last time you’ll hear me say that… this week. I’m only taking victory laps because I want to point out the players that have been fantasy relevant for several weeks now. Cade Otton is no exception. In a position that is shallow, the Buccaneers’ tight end has had 5 targets or more in his last three games. Adding a touchdown in Week 9 (a game-winner, at that), that’s a volume you can count on.

Still available in nearly 99% of NFL.com fantasy leagues, Cade Otton has been a trustworthy target for Tom Brady. I’m not ready to throw around the term “Baby Gronk,” a term that fans, analysts, and everything in between throw around when TB12 throws to a new tight end, but he has been coming up for the QB in crucial moments.

He has gained Brady’s trust, and fellow tight end Cameron Brate returning from his neck injury won’t change that fact. He is worth rostering in all formats, especially PPR and TE Premium leagues.

If he’s still available, Noah Fant, Seahawks
