Predicting every NFL team’s head coach for 2023 season
Predicting AFC North head coaches in 2023
Cincinnati Bengals: Zac Taylor
As the Bengals forge on in the playoffs, you’ve got to commend the job being done by Zac Taylor. Another branch off the Kyle Shanahan-Sean McVay coaching tree, Taylor has proven to be an asset in Cincinnati…at least, with Joe Burrow on the roster.
Still, there’s something to be said for managing the whole operation, and Taylor has a good staff around him with offensive coordinator Brian Callahan and defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo. Based on interview requests being made by teams, those guys will be back in 2023 and the Bengals can continue to make waves in the AFC. Taylor has a really good thing going right now.
Baltimore Ravens: John Harbaugh
There are times when you wonder about John Harbaugh and whether he’s a little too comfortable in his seat. But he’s earned that comfort. Harbaugh is one of the best, most seasoned head coaches in the NFL and he knows how to run a strong operation. Look at the Ravens in 2022, making the playoffs despite not having Lamar Jackson for a couple of months down the stretch.
Harbaugh doesn’t need to win pretty to win games. Sure, they lost in the playoffs, but it also came down to one play at the end of the game. He knows how to get his guys ready to play and I think he’s still one of the best in the business.
