NFL: Lamar Jackson has the fourth-highest QB overall in Madden 24

Lamar Jackson (91) was the only quarterback outside of Mahomes, Allen, and Burrow to receive a rating of 90 or better. Jalen Hurts (88), Justin Herbert (87), and Aaron Rodgers (86) are considered second-tier quarterbacks on the virtual gridiron despite their results from last season. This surprised fans in Philadelphia who witnessed their starting quarterback lead his team to the Superbowl. His regular season performance was one for the ages, but won’t reflect in the launch ratings.

In 2022, Hurts (88.2) received a higher offensive rating than Baltimore’s gunslinger. Rodgers and Herbert also recorded more touchdown passes, passing yards, and completions than the sixth-year All-Pro. All three quarterbacks played more games than Jackson (12), but rank lower than him in Madden’s ratings.

It’s clear, Jackson is an X-Factor on offense, but does he deserve a higher rating than quarterbacks who outperformed him last season? To Madden engineers, Jackson’s ability to influence the game without passing makes him more lethal. In Madden 24, Lamar Jackson has the highest speed (96), acceleration (96), and Juke rating (90) among QBs. Dual-threat abilities are enough to help him surpass the developing gunslingers, even if they performed better than him in 2023.
