For the first time in a very long time, all 32 NFL teams are equipped with their own first-round picks entering a given offseason. Believe it or not, it's extremely rare to enter an offseason with all 32 teams having their own first-round picks, and it would be even more rare to see it stay that way. The odds are that not all 32 teams are going to own their first-round picks by the time the 2025 NFL Draft ultimately rolls around, and there's currently one player -- in particular -- who is drumming up some serious hype as a player to be traded for a first-round pick:
Cleveland Browns star pass rusher Myles Garrett.
Our latest 2025 NFL mock draft is going to take a look at a fun scenario in which a surprise team gets involved in the Myles Garrett trade sweepstakes. Normally, you look for teams that are truly lacking to make bold trades like this, but what about a team that just won the Super Bowl without blitzing a single time?
Eagles land Myles Garrett to kick off all-new 2025 NFL Mock Draft predictions
The rich get richer. The Cleveland Browns need picks, and the Philadelphia Eagles are going to be looking to maximize their current window by adding one of the biggest game-changers in the NFL. The Eagles' roster is managed by one of the most aggressive general managers in the NFL in Howie Roseman, who is always looking to wheel and deal.
What would the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft look like with this blockbuster of a trade creating a domino effect?
1. Tennessee Titans: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
The Titans and the rest of the NFL world are about to get an up-close look at Penn State star pass rusher Abdul Carter, who might be the most underwhelming 1st overall pick since Travon Walker in 2022. The Titans might not be able to settle on a quarterback with this pick nor should new GM Mike Borgonzi talk himself into someone he doesn’t absolutely love.
2. Cleveland Browns: Cam Ward, QB, Miami
The Browns are in a horrendous situation with Deshaun Watson and their best player wants out of town. If they give him his wish, they need to strip this thing down to the studs and start from scratch. How do you change culture quickly? Take a page out of the Washington Commanders’ book and reload around a talented quarterback prospect. There’s not a consensus on Cam Ward but the Browns don’t have the same luxury of patience as other teams right now.
3. New York Giants: Travis Hunter, WR, Colorado
The Giants might be able to send an Aaron Rodgers-like package to the Rams for Matthew Stafford. Heck, they might sign Rodgers himself. I’m not sure the Giants are going to fall in love with the QBs of this class outside of Cam Ward but there’s always a chance of that. They can’t make the same mistake they made with Daniel Jones, so instead of reaching for someone they don’t love, the Giants pair up Travis Hunter with Malik Nabers and give whoever is QB a couple of absolute stars to throw the ball to.
4. New England Patriots: Will Campbell, OL, LSU
Until proven otherwise, the Patriots have every incentive to invest in the offensive line to help Drake Maye, and while it would be fun to explore some other scenarios here, the Pats just have to do what is right for their young QB. Last year, we could all see the Joe Alt pick for the Chargers coming from a mile away, and this year’s version of that is Will Campbell to the Patriots.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham, DL, Michigan
The Jaguars could have the luxury of trading this pick to the highest bidder, and you can bet that teams are going to be calling new GM James Gladstone, who comes from the Los Angeles Rams and might be looking to build his NFL Draft war chest with more picks. If teams don’t love Shedeur Sanders in that manner, then Gladstone has the top defensive player on the board and one of the safest players in the class in Mason Graham.
6. Las Vegas Raiders: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
The Raiders need a quarterback and head coach Pete Carroll isn’t a spring chicken anymore. I expect the Raiders to be as aggressive as any team in the league in pursuing help at the position and getting Sanders in the building could make some sense for them. He’s a game manager with football bloodlines who should take well to Pete Carroll’s style of leadership.
7. New York Jets: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
Tyler Warren is such a fun prospect to watch. He lines up all over the offense and can be the type of playmaker defenses have to account for week after week. Even though he isn’t Brock Bowers as a prospect, the effect of players like Bowers and Sam LaPorta the last couple of years could significantly raise his overall value.
8. Carolina Panthers: Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia
The Carolina Panthers desperately need pieces for their defense after trading away Brian Burns last year and seemingly whiffing on a number of other signings/draft picks. Jalon Walker looks like he’s going to find a home off the edge in the NFL and he should be an immediate upgrade in the pass rush for Panthers DC Ejiro Evero.
9. New Orleans Saints: Jihaad Campbell, LB/EDGE, Alabama
How about this for a potential surprise pick? The New Orleans Saints need help on the defensive front, particularly off the edge. Jihaad Campbell has experience at both off-ball linebacker and off the edge, but his long-term NFL home might just be a full-time switch to the EDGE position. He will prove at the NFL Scouting Combine that he’s got the size and traits to do whatever a defensive coordinator wants, and Brandon Staley is a pass rush specialist.
10. Chicago Bears: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
The Bears need help on the offensive line, but I think we can expect to see them pursue that help heavily in NFL free agency. Ben Johnson’s offense in Detroit was so special thanks to his tremendous running game, and although Ashton Jeanty doesn’t have the same twitch as Jahmyr Gibbs, I think Johnson is going to want to attack that position.
11. San Francisco 49ers: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
The 49ers have an obvious need at the cornerback position and it seems like the NFL Draft community might be overthinking Will Johnson a little bit. We could see the 49ers make a massive jump on that side of the ball with Robert Saleh back as defensive coordinator, but the secondary needs pieces.
12. Dallas Cowboys: Tyler Booker, OL, Alabama
Zack Martin gave the Cowboys some much-needed heads up on his playing future to start the offseason, announcing his retirement. His career was cut short due to injury, but at least the Cowboys aren’t left wondering. As it stands, the Cowboys are in a rare position to be taking their third player named “Tyler” on the offensive line with a 1st-round pick yet again (Tyler Smith, Tyler Guyton).
13. Miami Dolphins: Armand Membou, OL, Missouri
The Dolphins need to take the best offensive or defensive lineman on their board with this selection. They have so many free agents in the trenches on either side of the ball and if they can’t improve that area of the roster in 2025, it’s going to be another long year for Dolphins fans. Mike McDaniel’s offense gets a starter here at either RG or RT from Day 1.
14. Indianapolis Colts: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
It’s going to be fun to see what the Colts end up doing at the quarterback position this offseason. Well, maybe not so fun for Anthony Richardson. Either way, the Colts add to their playmaker arsenal with Michigan TE Colston Loveland, who would give them another tremendous talent in the passing game on top of their stellar wide receiver trio.
15. Atlanta Falcons: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
The Falcons and head coach Raheem Morris need a building block for the defensive front in the worst way. There are rumors that the Falcons could be in line to cut Grady Jarrett this offseason, which just serves as a stark reminder that this team is going to have to be aggressive in upgrading the defensive front all offseason. Mykel Williams could be a steal this late in round one.
16. Arizona Cardinals: Kenneth Grant, DL, Michigan
I have a sneaking suspicion that a lot of defensive linemen are going to see their NFL Draft stock on the rise after the NFL Scouting Combine, and Kenneth Grant could be the leader of the pack. A nose tackle with the ability to move like an edge rusher, Grant’s NFL future could be brighter than his production at Michigan indicates. Jonathan Gannon knows he needs some dawgs on that defensive line ASAP.
17. Cincinnati Bengals: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall
The Cincinnati Bengals are going to do their best this offseason to keep the band together, but they have to deal with the depth at the EDGE position one way or another. Even if Trey Hendrickson comes back, Sam Hubbard is coming off of a major knee injury late in the season and Joseph Ossai is a free agent. After firing Lou Anarumo, expect them to use premium NFL Draft assets to upgrade the personnel on the defense as well.
18. Seattle Seahawks: Kelvin Banks, OT, Texas
The Seahawks desperately need help on the offensive line and they’re in a decent position in this draft to potentially maximize value there. Kelvin Banks is a left tackle by trade but could kick inside at the next level and play next to Charles Cross. This would be a massive upgrade right away for Seattle’s offensive line, which did a horrendous job protecting Geno Smith this past season.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee
As much fun as it would be for the Bucs to add a receiver here, they have bigger fish to fry defensively. You cant back yourself into a corner in the NFL Draft but the Bucs have to get help off the edge and we know this because they literally called Shaq Barrett out of retirement this past season to get the help they needed. James Pearce Jr. is the best available in this scenario.
20. Denver Broncos: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
The scouting report on Tetairoa McMillan reads awfully similar to that of Courtland Sutton for the Denver Broncos, but could they really pass on his talent at this juncture with Sutton slated for free agency in 2026? McMillan is a big-play threat and has a massive catch radius. Sean Payton loves bigger receivers and this would be a huge value pick for Denver.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jahdae Barron, DB, Texas
With multiple key players slated for free agency defensively, the Pittsburgh Steelers go after a guy who fits the mold of what they look for in terms of football IQ, instincts, and toughness. Jahdae Barron can play inside, outside, or whatever he’s asked to do and I think he’s exactly the type of player the Steelers covet.
22. Los Angeles Chargers: Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
With rumors of the Chargers moving on from both Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack this offseason, reinforcements are obviously going to be needed off the edge. Shemar Stewart feels like a big risk in the 1st round based on his lack of statistical production at Texas A&M, but his traits jump off the tape in a big way.
23. Green Bay Packers: Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College
Not that the defensive coordinator is exactly calling the shots, but Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley was just hired last year away from Boston College, where he was the head coach. He will have more familiarity with pass rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku than anyone in this draft, and this might be the perfect landing spot for an edge rusher. Green Bay gets more firepower in the pass rush department.
24. Minnesota Vikings: Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina
We could see a completely new QB-RB duo in Minnesota this year after Sam Darnold and Aaron Jones helped this team to a tremendous regular season record in 2024. The Vikings are going to have to make the tough decision regarding Darnold and JJ McCarthy, but regardless of the QB situation, they will need a full-time starter at RB. Omarion Hampton is getting some 1st-round hype recently and could be exactly the type of lead back the Vikings need.
25. Houston Texans: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
Given the situation with Stefon Diggs hitting free agency and Tank Dell suffering yet another unfortunate and long-term injury, does any first-round option make more sense than this for the Texans? CJ Stroud is reunited with his former Buckeyes teammate and the Texans’ offense adds yet another valuable playmaker to pair with Nico Collins.
26. Los Angeles Rams: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
When all is said and done, it’s very possible that Josh Simmons ends up being the best left tackle from this draft class. Depending on how you see this left tackle class, that might not mean much. But at any rate, the Rams have been investing heavily in the trenches on both sides of the ball over the last two years and Simmons might be too good of a value to pass on at this point. If he passes all of his physical/medical stuff at the NFL Scouting Combine, Simmons could end up being a Day 1 starter for a team like the Rams. Now, about the Matthew Stafford situation…
27. New York Giants (projected trade with Ravens): Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss
One name at the quarterback that is gaining some traction since the Senior Bowl is Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart. Now, not everyone in the NFL Draft community is buying the hype at this point, but Dart does have a lot of traits that NFL teams covet and a team like the New York Giants is desperate. After taking Travis Hunter earlier, this might be the best-case scenario for them: Trading into the back end of round one and getting a QB prospect with upside.
28. Detroit Lions: Grey Zabel, OL, North Dakota State
I’m not sure if there’s a player in the 2025 NFL Draft class who more embodies what the Detroit Lions love in players more than North Dakota State’s Grey Zabel. And it just so happens that the Lions have needs on the interior offensive line with Kevin Zeitler and Graham Glasgow – the team’s starting guards – both getting up there in age. Zabel could start at any of the three interior positions year one in the NFL.
29. Washington Commanders: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
At some point in the 2025 offseason, I think we’ll see the Washington Commanders add veteran receiver Deebo Samuel (thanks to his connection with Commanders GM Adam Peters, a former 49ers executive) and then add another playmaker in the NFL Draft. Matthew Golden worked well out of the slot for the Texas Longhorns this past year and would give Jayden Daniels another reliable target to spread the ball to.
30. Buffalo Bills: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
The Buffalo Bills have seen their season end prematurely far too many times now, and they need to go out this offseason and really identify the players who will be major difference makers for them when it comes to January football. A playmaker on the defense like Nick Emmanwori who has ball skills, size, athletic traits, and a physical nature could be exactly what this team needs in tight games. His presence forces quick decisions out of QBs and he could be utilized in a similar way to guys like Derwin James or Kyle Hamilton.
31. Kansas City Chiefs: Walter Nolen, DL, Ole Miss
The Chiefs have a number of key free agents set to hit the market in a couple of weeks, but this team was just torched in the Super Bowl by a defensive line loaded with playmakers. Here, they take advantage of the fall of a very talented defensive line prospect who has the potential to go somewhere within the top 20 overall picks based on how the next couple of months go. The Chiefs would love to see a top-flight left tackle prospect fall here but upgrading the interior defensive line is never a bad investment.
32. Cleveland Browns (from Eagles): Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
If the Cleveland Browns are going to completely rebuild this offseason, then they are definitely going to need culture creators. The obvious way to start is to bring in a quarterback prospect like Cam Ward, who can help recreate the culture offensively. But then to bring in a clean prospect like Malaki Starks on defense could be another ideal type of move for the Browns. Starks could come in and replace the recently released Juan Thornhill in the Cleveland secondary.
