With the 2025 NFL Draft about three weeks away, let's continue rolling out our mock drafts. Could five quarterbacks go in the first round? That may seem like a lot, but you simply never know at this point. Mock drafts all across the NFL landscape have so many different draft picks, as the weaker QB class has thrown a ton of unknown into the NFL Draft.
There is reason to believe that around 15-20 prospects are slam-dunk first rounders, but beyond that is unclear. With how desperate some teams are for a franchise quarterback, we could see some unexpected QB action in Round 1.
Could five quarterbacks go in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft? Let's see how that mock draft would look.
2025 NFL Mock Draft: 5 quarterbacks shockingly get taken in Round 1
1. Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami (FL)
The Tennessee Titans do not do anything fancy with the top pick in this NFL Mock Draft, as they grab Cam Ward and hope that he can become the franchise QB for years to come. Ward has a stronger arm, higher ceiling, and is a better athlete than Shedeur Sanders.
2. Cleveland Browns: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
Pick two in this mock draft sees the Cleveland Browns taking Abdul Carter, the pass rusher from Penn State. The Browns should not take Sanders with this pick, as it would be a bit too rich, so they opt for the best defensive prospect.
3. New York Giants: Travis Hunter, CB, Colorado
The New York Giants have signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in free agency, which has given them some flexibility in the 2025 NFL Draft. They take Travis Hunter from Colorado in our latest mock.
4. New England Patriots: Will Campbell, OT, LSU
Getting a left tackle is a huge need, so the New England Patriots grab Will Campbell from LSU at pick four in this M
5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
The Jacksonville Jaguars take a great prospect with the fifth overall selection and grab Mason Graham from Michigan. The Jags are not in a total rebuild, but they should retool this roster up from the trenches, as that is the way to sustain success in today's NFL, and they probably have the QB situation taken care of, although Trevor Lawrence has not been quite as good as many thought he would be when he entered the league back in 2021.
6. Las Vegas Raiders: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
Ashton Jeanty is a popular pick here, but the Las Vegas Raiders decide to bolster their defense and take Will Johnson from Michigan. Pete Carroll is going to want to play solid defense, and with how deep this RB class is, the Raiders could absolutely find a RB1 at the NFL level with one of their later selections in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Can the Raiders make any ground up in the AFC with Carroll and Geno Smith?
7. New York Jets: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
Armand Membou could be the right tackle of the future for the New York Jets, and this could end up being a really nice, encouraging, and young offensive line that also features players like Olu Fashanu and Joe Tippmann. I would not rule out Jets GM Darren Mougey shoring this unit up in the first round. Mougey came from the Denver Broncos, and the Broncos themselves had a top offensive line and defensive line, so this pick makes sense.
8. Carolina Panthers: Tet McMillan, WR, Arizona
Tet McMillan from Arizona could be the missing piece for the Carolina Panthers offense, so they grab him with the eighth overall pick in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft. Could the Panthers breakout in 2025?
9. New Orleans Saints: Kelvin Banks Jr, OT, Texas
It would be wise for the New Orleans Saints to build within the trenches. This team clearly does not want to rebuild at the moment, so if nothing else, they should acquire immediate-impact talent who can also provide hope for the future, and it would not hurt to get another starter along the offensive line.
In our latest NFL Mock Draft, they take Kelvin Banks Jr from Texas. Banks might be able to play both guard and tackle at the NFL level.
10. Chicago Bears: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
Given that the Chicago Bears totally overhauled their interior offensive line in free agency with Joe Thuney, Drew Dalman, and Jonah Jackson, this team can absolutely get a bit frisky in the 2025 NFL Draft and grab someone like Ashton Jeanty from Boise State. Jeanty is the best offensive playmaker in the NFL Draft class and someone who could give the Bears offense the spark they are missing.
11. San Francisco 49ers: Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
The San Francisco 49ers use their first-round pick in our latest mock draft on Shemar Stewart. The Niners said goodbye to a ton of former foundational players this past offseason and are wanting to build for the long-term around Brock Purdy. Well, the way to go this is to prioritize the trenches as we know.
San Fran has not exactly done that in recent years, but this time should hopefully be different for them. The last time this team made the playoffs, they advanced to the Super Bowl back in 2023.
12. Dallas Cowboys: Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia
Another horrible offseason for the Dallas Cowboys is giving this team little hope for 2025. They can at least add to their defensive line and take Jalon Walker from Georgia.
13. Miami Dolphins: Tyler Booker, OG, Alabama
Tyler Booker would be a great pick by the Miami Dolphins with the 13th selection. The Dolphins have to protect Tua Tagovailoa better, but the QB already comes with injury concerns, and if he is missing multiple games in 2025 and it derails their season, you have to wonder of major change could then come.
They could try to prevent that if they bolster the offensive line. Booker is a Day 1 starter at guard and a prototypical guard prospect for the NFL. He could have a long career in Miami.
14. Indianapolis Colts: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
A huge pick for the Indianapolis Colts here in this NFL Mock Draft, GM Chris Ballard continues his strong offseason and grabs Tyler Warren to potentially put the finishing touches with the playmakers on offense. Ballard still needs to address the offensive line, but that can be done later on, as Warren is too good to pass up.
15. Atlanta Falcons: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
Getting some defensive help is a major priority for the Atlanta Falcons in the 2025 NFL Draft, so it should be no surprise that they are taking Malaki Starks in the middle of the first round. A strong defense in Atlanta could help their young QB, Michael Penix Jr and the entire offense become more efficient.
Only time will tell if the Falcons took the right QB, but they do figure to move on from Kirk Cousins in some capacity.
16. Arizona Cardinals: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
After signing Josh Sweat and Dalvin Tomlinson, the Arizona Cardinals continue their huge push along the defensive line and take Mykel Williams from Georgia. At one point, the Cardinals did indeed lead the NFC West back in 2024, so this team could be quite close to competing for a division title.
17. Cincinnati Bengals: James Pearce Jr, EDGE, Tennessee
I would be flat-out shocked if the Cincinnati Bengals did not take a defensive player with their first-round pick. They do need two starting-caliber guards, but the defense is in much worse shape if you ask me. James Pearce Jr is a freaky-athletic EDGE rusher who could produce instantly at the NFL level, especially if he is rushing alongside Trey Hendrickson.
Hendrickson does not have a long-term deal yet, but you have to think that the Bengals would like to get that done quickly before the 2025 NFL Draft begins.
18. Seattle Seahawks: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
Shedeur Sanders falls all the way to pick 18, so the Seattle Seahawks waste no time drafting him. It would be tough to imagine that Sanders falls this far, but you just never know. His ceiling is probably that third overall pick to the New York Giants, but they went with Travis Hunter in this mock draft.
Sanders could sit behind Sam Darnold for a year in Seattle.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have to get some secondary help this offseason, so they take the hard-hitting safety Nick Emmanwori. I could see the Bucs also grabbing some wide receiver help, as Mike Evans is getting up there in age, so they'll need to find a way to replace him.
20. Denver Broncos: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
The Denver Broncos take Matthew Golden from Texas at pick 20 in this mock draft. The Broncos are probably going to grab an offensive prospect in the first round, but it might not be a wide receiver given their huge need at RB. This deep RB class could afford the Broncos a chance to address that position later on, though. Golden is a great fit for this offense.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss
Quarterback! The third quarterback of the first round comes off the board, as the Pittsburgh Steelers take Jaxson Dart from Ole Miss. With Aaron Rodgers and DK Metcalf having a throwing session last weekend, that could be a huge indication that Rodgers is prepared to sign with Pittsburgh, but he is just a one-year solution.
Dart could sit behind Rodgers and Mason Rudolph for a year and perhaps takeover in the 2026 NFL Season. This could actually turn into a solid situation for the Steelers and give them something tangible at QB for years to come.
22. Los Angeles Chargers: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
Colston Loveland reuniting with Jim Harbaugh in the NFL just feels right. Harbaugh has already brought in former Michigan players and coaches, and with LA having a huge hole at tight end, Loveland at pick 22 makes a ton of sense. The Chargers do not hesitate to pull the trigger in this NFL Mock Draft and give Justin Herbert another weapon.
Could LA compete for the AFC West in 2025?
23. Green Bay Packers: Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon
Derrick Harmon, the defensive tackle from Oregon, is the first-round pick of the Green Bay Packers in our latest mock draft. Wide receiver could be on the table here at pick 23, as the Packers have a ton of 'good' in that room but virtually no 'great' if that makes sense.
24. Minnesota Vikings: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas
Jahdae Barron can play all over the secondary and could be a perfect fit for Brian Flores' aggressive defenses in Minnesota, so the Vikings draft him at pick 24 in our latest NFL Mock Draft. The Vikings seem prepared to pivot to JJ McCarthy for 2025 and beyond. Can he develop into a franchise quarterback?
25. Houston Texans: Grey Zabel, OG, North Dakota State
Grey Zabel would be a great pick for the Houston Texans at the bottom of the first round. This front office has made several offensive line moves this offseason, but none of them seem to be all that great if we are being honest. There seems to be more of a need along the interior, as Cam Robinson, Trent Brown, Tytus Howard, and Blake Fisher could all end up competing for the starting tackle spots.
Zabel can help bring stability to this unstable unit.
26. Los Angeles Rams: Tyler Shough, QB, Louisville
Surprise! The Los Angeles Rams might make a huge stretch here, but Tyler Shough is seen by some as an NFL-ready player and would obviously be sitting behind Matthew Stafford for at least one season. The Rams will have to bring in a long-term option for when Stafford is gone, so perhaps Shough can wait in the wings and begin his tenure as their franchise QB in 2026 or 2027.
I would not rule out the Rams from doing something a bit unconventional in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
27. Baltimore Ravens: Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama
Getting a legitimate enforcer in the middle of the defense would be great for that unit. The Baltimore Ravens go with Jihaad Campbell from Alabama in the first round. Campbell might be able to start year one right next to Roquan Smith, one of the best linebackers in the NFL.
28. Detroit Lions: Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M
The Detroit Lions do not have many needs at all, so they could truly take the best player on their board. Could that player be Nic Scourton? Perhaps. Detroit bolsters their defensive line here and look to make a huge push in the 2025 NFL Season.
29. Washington Commanders: Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina
Trading for Marshon Lattimore during the 2024 NFL Season was a wise move, but the need for another CB is still present, so the Washington Commanders dip into the CB pool in the 2025 NFL Draft and grab Shavon Revel from East Carolina. Could this put a bow on the Commanders secondary?
30. Buffalo Bills: Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri
The Buffalo Bills could look to give Josh Allen another weapon in the 2025 NFL Draft. After using a high pick in 2024 on Keon Coleman, they use their first-round pick in this mock draft on Luther Burden III from Missouri. Burden is quite explosive with the ball in his hands and can eat up yards after the catch.
31. New York Giants (via KC): Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama
Trade! The New York Giants trade up a few slots back into the first round and grab Jalen Milroe from Alabama. This would give them Travis Hunter and Milroe as their first-round picks. I wonder how Giants fans would like this haul? New York plays their cards smartly, as they grab one of the best players in the NFL Draft class and also grab a viable QB prospect as well.
Milroe would likely be the QB3 for the 2025 NFL Season and potentially takeover in the 2026 NFL Season. This could be a great solution for the franchise for years to come.
32. Philadelphia Eagles: Tyleik Williams, DT, Ohio State
Losing Milton Williams and Josh Sweat in free agency has the Philadelphia Eagles taking Tyleik Williams, a defensive tackle from Ohio State. This would not be a surprise by GM Howie Roseman, who has always fielded a top OL and DL unit.
This wraps out our latest NFL Mock Draft. Did your team grab a top prospect?
