The 2025 NFL Free Agency frenzy seemed to disappear even more quickly than it appeared. We had a nice week with a ton of activity, and then poof – it was gone. It’s making the hunger for the 2025 NFL Draft deep within growl louder than ever as teams look to continue improving their rosters for the upcoming 2025 season.
In this 2025 NFL mock draft, we’re going to take a look at some more fun scenarios with a whopping four quarterbacks going in the first round, including three guys in the top 10 overall picks. We’re going to take a look at some scenarios through the first three rounds where teams load up on the defensive front to try and do what we just saw the Eagles do in the Super Bowl against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.
And in this draft class, we’re going to see a heavy emphasis in the top 100 picks on the running back position, which might be the most loaded position group in this class. Who is your team taking in this 2025 NFL mock draft scenario?
2025 NFL Mock Draft: Saints make surprise QB pick in top 10
1. Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami
The Tennessee Titans have been doing a lot of due diligence on the best prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft in recent weeks. Although new GM Mike Borgonzi said he wouldn’t pass on a “generational” player with this pick, he appears poised to pass on Travis Hunter in favor of quarterback Cam Ward.
Say what you will about this year’s quarterback class, but if you’re a team like the Titans and you’re convinced that a guy can be “the guy”, then you’ve got to take him. Cam Ward might not have been any better than the 4th or 5th best quarterback in the 2024 class, but that ultimately doesn’t matter. The Titans need someone they can build around and if they feel like Ward has the franchise quarterback traits on and off the field, then he’s a no-brainer at this spot.
2. Cleveland Browns: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
I’m not convinced that the Cleveland Browns are going to be so impressed with Shedeur Sanders to make him their top pick in this year’s draft. I know we have thrown Sanders into this slot in a number of 2025 NFL mock draft scenarios, and he might pop up in even more of them, but I think everyone picking in the top three who needs a quarterback is after Cam Ward only at this point.
Shedeur Sanders has plenty of talent to eventually be a starting QB in the NFL but is he worth passing on someone like Abdul Carter here? Especially in the Browns’ context, they can pair Carter up with Myles Garrett, who just signed a massive contract extension. You can pivot to Kirk Cousins for a year if need be, punt quarterback to next year, and give teams absolute fits in the pass rush department in the meantime.
Carter could very well be the top non-QB in the 2025 NFL Draft class and the Browns just desperately need building blocks.
3. New York Giants: Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado
We have our answer to the question, “What are the New York Giants going to do at quarterback this year?” The answer is, of course, Russell Wilson. The former Seattle Seahawks star QB who has now become a journeyman in the later stages of his NFL career. Wilson joins Jameis Winston in the quarterback room for the New York Giants which is obviously still not settled for the long haul.
But those guys might be tasked with saving some jobs for the brain trust of this organization.
The Giants let go of Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones within the last year, two moves that were completely embarrassing for vastly different reasons. They need a player like Travis Hunter, who could come in and provide them with a truly elite pair of young receivers alongside Malik Nabers.
4. New England Patriots: Will Campbell, OT, LSU
We now bring you back to your regularly scheduled programming for the New England Patriots. After multiple mock drafts in a row where the Patriots went after Travis Hunter with the 4th overall pick, they are back to taking LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell and building a wall in front of franchise quarterback Drake Maye.
The Patriots didn’t get the chance to even really get to the table with free agent wide receiver Chris Godwin, so they pivoted to Stefon Diggs, of all people. They gave Diggs, who is into his early 30s at this point and coming off of a torn ACL, a whopping $69 million contract over the next three years. Even though there’s only 426 million in guaranteed money, they’re banking on him quite a bit to help Maye’s development.
And they’ll need guys like Campbell to help Maye along as well. Or, at the very least – keep him upright.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham, DL, Michigan
The Jacksonville Jaguars are quickly becoming one of the most boring teams in the first round of our 2025 NFL Mock Draft scenarios. So maybe instead of explaining for the millionth time why Mason Graham makes sense here, let’s explore why this is really the only legitimate option for them.
First of all, the Jaguars hired James Gladstone, who looks like he could be straight out of college, to run the team as general manager. Gladstone understands that building a true contender happens in the trenches since that’s been the philosophy of the Los Angeles Rams over the last handful of years.
Second, there is really no other overly appealing option here for the Jags. There’s not a clear top-flight edge or cornerback. They would be reaching for any other position. Graham is just the best combination of value and positional need and there’s no avoiding it at this point.
6. Las Vegas Raiders: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
The Las Vegas Raiders can’t put every egg into the Geno Smith basket. They have a chance in this mock draft to hedge their bets a little bit and go after a possible successor to Smith with Shedeur Sanders coming in as the heir apparent.
Smith should do a good job of raising the floor at the quarterback position for the time being. He was obviously quite good for the Seattle Seahawks. But there is bound to be a wall or dropoff of some kind at some point, and the Raiders need to be ready.
Shedeur is honestly pretty comparable as a prospect to what we’ve seen from Geno over the last handful of years. He’s a good ball distributor, competitor, and point guard at the position who obviously struggles when the protection breaks down. Sanders took way too many sacks at Colorado but he always got back up. He’d be a nice QB of the future for the Raiders in their current structure.
7. New York Jets: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
The New York Jets are going to be a really fascinating team in the 2025 NFL Draft class as far as watching for a surprise team to take a quarterback. After signing Justin Fields to a multi-year deal, I think they are pretty locked in to seeing if he could work, but when teams fall in love with quarterbacks, they are willing to forsake the optics to take them.
With that being said, the investment in Fields would seem to indicate the Jets are serious about building around him as opposed to building beyond him and they need another offensive tackle. Even after drafting Olu Fashanu last year, the Jets lost both Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses in 2025 and need another starter.
Armand Membou has been touted as possibly the best overall offensive tackle in this class, and given that he plays on the right side, he could be the ideal first-round fit for the Jets.
8. Carolina Panthers: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas
Ideally, the Panthers would be able to get Abdul Carter from this draft class. That’s becoming increasingly less likely by the day, so they’re going to be a team where we should watch out for some first-round creativity.
The Panthers have one of the best young defensive minds in the league in Ejiro Evero, whose personnel on that side of the ball has been nothing short of abysmal the last couple of years. Evero is a defensive backs guy by trade, and I think he would absolutely love a playmaker like Jahdae Barron to pair up with the recently re-signed Jaycee Horn and incoming free agent safety Trevon Moehrig.
Those three guys would give the Panthers a trio of absolute bash brothers in the defensive backfield, guys who can shrink the field for the opposing offense and make plays on the football.
9. New Orleans Saints: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss
In my latest two-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft, I actually had the Saints taking Jaxson Dart with their second-round pick. But ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. has given me the confidence to shove him back into the first round conversation.
At this time of year, it’s so hard to know what to believe. Is this another Will Levis kind of situation where an agent is doing some really good work at hyping up a client, or do NFL teams actually view Jaxson Dart as a possible first-round pick?
As they say, where there’s smoke, there’s fire. The Saints are the only team in the NFC South currently without a true long-term QB situation in place. They have to keep up with their division, and while they aren’t going to forced into falling in love with a guy, there are a lot of qualities to like with Jaxson Dart. He would be a stunner here in the top 10, but that’s how the NFL Draft is a lot of times. Michael Penix and Bo Nix were stunners last year, you never know when we’ll see it again.
10. Chicago Bears: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
There are few prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft class who are as “clean” as Ashton Jeanty. He’s got production in spades. He’s got football character. He doesn’t have a lengthy injury history. He’s an absolute stud. The Chicago Bears shifted their focus to the offensive line early this offseason, bringing in the likes of Joe Thuney, Jonah Jackson, and Drew Dalman.
Ben Johnson’s work on the offensive line may not be done, but he’s certainly not going to settle for the running back room he has. Keep in mind, Johnson’s Lions once moved on from D’Andre Swift in order to bring in their current duo of David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs.
In what has been considered the best running back class in some time, Jeanty is the prized prospect. And the Bears’ offense could be upgraded significantly with his presence. Jeanty excels at not only creating yardage after contact but also avoiding contact in the first place and using his vision to drive defenses crazy.
11. San Francisco 49ers: Jalon Walker, LB/EDGE, Georgia
If you take a look at the San Francisco 49ers depth chart right now, you might not no exactly where to begin with the “reload’ or “rebuild”, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Other than maybe taking another receiver here (which also shouldn’t be off the table), I think you could really go any direction for the 49ers in round one and make it make sense.
They weren’t able to lure Joey Bosa to come and play with his brother in San Francisco, so the pass rush is obviously going to need to be addressed. They’ve also got a college free agent currently penciled in as a starting defensive tackle, so maybe they take the next one off the board here.
Jalon Walker is a really nice value here as well and someone who might be able to kill two birds with one stone. He’s an off-ball linebacker who can also rush the passer and would give the 49ers a big-time weapon on that side of the ball.
12. Dallas Cowboys: Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina
The Dallas Cowboys already brought in two free agent running backs this offseason, which might be our indicator that Jerry Jones is not going to use a first-round pick at this position. But this is a rare running back class, and we all just saw the type of impact running backs had around the league this past year.
There’s no way the Cowboys could justify passing on a player like Omarion Hampton here after the way their running game struggled last season.
Hampton has the ideal combination of size, speed, toughness, and three-down abilities to be an instant hit for Dak Prescott and the Cowboys’ offense. Brian Schottenheimer needs to make sure his offense is not one-dimensional, and while Dallas could also go with a pass rusher or interior offensive lineman here, maybe even a receiver, Hampton might be the best player on their board.
13. Miami Dolphins: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
We’ve got a number of picks in our mock drafts lately that just seem too likely to not happen, so we’re going chalk here with the Miami Dolphins taking Malaki Starks in the 13th overall slot.
I think you could easily justify an offensive lineman or tight end here based on how the board is falling but as has been mentioned ad nauseam, the Dolphins have lost Brandon Jones and Jevon Holland in consecutive offseasons. They are going to have to add some young talent to that position and they can get the top guy on their board here.
And Starks is just a clean prospect overall. He can play the deep free safety as well as come up in the box or play in the slot. He’s a smart player whose instincts pop when you watch him play, and he was an impact player very early on at Georgia. He’s going to be a good pro.
14. Indianapolis Colts: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
If the Indianapolis Colts are in a scenario with both Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland on the board, their entire war room might pass out before they have a chance to turn in a pick. This would be a borderline ideal scenario for them.
I legitimately think that Daniel Jones is going to win the starting job with them or at least potentially start most of the games this season. The Colts know that what Anthony Richardson has been giving them is not sustainable. And with the type of supporting cast they’ve assembled under Shane Steichen, it should honestly be really hard for a QB to fail.
Tyler Warren is a super unique playmaker at tight end who could wind up going a lot higher than this. He can line up in the backfield, in line, out wide, and block. He’s a stud.
15. Atlanta Falcons: Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
Whoever the Atlanta Falcons end up taking here with this selection, it has to be someone for the defensive front four, right? The Falcons have passed on defensive players for so many years in a row with their top picks and we finally saw it cost them dearly in 2024 as they were one of the worst pass rushing teams in the NFL.
They could take any number of players in this slot whether it’s Shemar Stewart, Mike Green, Mykel Williams, or even an interior player after moving on from longtime franchise staple Grady Jarrett (who is now with the Chicago Bears). There are a lot of really quality defensive linemen in this class but Shemar Stewart is someone who might carry that “boom or bust” label. His production at Texas A&M has given people pause but his athletic traits and projection to the next level are off the charts.
This is a risk worth taking if you’re the Falcons, who are likely going to use this draft class to absolutely load up on the defensive side.
16. Arizona Cardinals: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
Dating back to his time with the Philadelphia Eagles, there are two things Jonathan Gannon knows you can’t have too many of on your roster in today’s NFL: Pass rushers and Georgia Bulldogs.
The strategy of drafting as many Georgia players as possible has really worked out well for the Eagles, who have won the NFC twice in the past three years and won the Super Bowl this past year. Maybe it would be wise for Gannon to bring some more of that flavor to Arizona and see if it will work out for him.
All kidding aside, the defensive front is going to be emphasized heavily by the Cardinals in this draft and you could see any number of options for them here at pick 16. They are in an almost identical boat to the team picking ahead of them – the Atlanta Falcons. Gannon simply needs the best pass rusher on his board, and they can take advantage of the depth of this defensive line class after that in rounds two and three.
17. Cincinnati Bengals: Derrick Harmon, DL, Oregon
After spending a boatload of cash to get a long-term extension done with superstar quarterback Joe Burrow, the Cincinnati Bengals continued to do what we’ve really never seen them do before: Spend a lot of money.
It seems Burrow convinced the powers that be to bring back both Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins on mammoth contracts, and they also brought Mike Gesicki back on a very solid contract. Now they are in talks to bring back Trey Hendrickson?
The Bengals are now spending more money than we’ve ever seen and the NFL Draft is as important as ever. They have not drafted overly well in the last couple of years and they absolutely have to nail their picks in 2025. I love the idea of a high-floor prospect like Derrick Harmon, a guy who dominated on the interior defensive line whether he was playing at Oregon or Michigan State.
18. Seattle Seahawks: Grey Zabel, OL, North Dakota State
If you look at the Seattle Seahawks’ offensive line depth chart right now, you might share in my worry for Sam Darnold’s life. He won’t just be seeing ghosts in Seattle this time, though. It will be 300-pound human beings haunting him consistently.
If the Sam Darnold experiment is going to go in Seattle’s favor, they have to do him a couple of favors. I think we’re going to see the Seahawks heavily emphasize the interior offensive line very early in this draft class and here they get arguably the top interior lineman in the class – North Dakota State’s Grey Zabel.
Despite playing at a lower level of competition, Zabel – transitioning from tackle to the interior – dominated consistently at Senior Bowl practices and drew a lot of attention from the talent evaluators on hand. His hype has grown tremendously in recent weeks, and he seems to be a lock for the top 32 overall selections.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama
NFL teams don’t always love “tweener” types of players but Jihaad Campbell is a rare blend of athleticism and heat-seeking missile. Buried on the Alabama depth chart off the edge, Campbell was moved to the off-ball linebacker position just to get playing time on the Crimson Tide defense.
And he obviously did well enough that people like him as a legitimate first-round player at that spot. But there are also teams who envision him coming off the edge at the next level.
Whatever the projection, I think he makes a lot of sense for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have needs both off the edge and at the off-ball linebacker position. Campbell could be a nice chess piece for Todd Bowles, who will be able to maximize his abilities as a pressure player and put him in positions to succeed.
20. Denver Broncos: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
There are a handful of directions we could see the Denver Broncos go in the first round of this draft. The Broncos have just one defensive lineman currently under contract beyond the 2025 season (DJ Jones), so they could take advantage of the strong class there with this selection.
They obviously need a running back after letting Javonte Williams leave in NFL Free Agency, and this class is extremely strong there as well.
The Broncos also were terrible last year when it came to supporting Bo Nix consistently at receiver. Having Evan Engram in the mix as the “Joker” for Sean Payton’s offense should be a huge boost to everyone on the team, but a floor-raiser at receiver would be welcomed.
Courtland Sutton is in the final year of his deal, and the Broncos just don’t have much certainty at receiver right now, even as much as they might like their young guys. Emeka Egbuka is the perfect fit for their offense as a receiver with strong hands who can get open quickly while playing both inside and out.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama
It looks right now like there’s a very real chance that the Pittsburgh Steelers will end up missing out on all of the veteran quarterback options in the 2025 offseason. Aaron Rodgers is contemplating retirement while Russell Wilson has signed a one-year deal with the New York Giants after getting sick of waiting around for the Steelers to make a decision.
It’s possible that Mason Rudolph is going to back his way into a starting role in Pittsburgh this coming season after spending a brief bit with the Tennessee Titans. And the Steelers have reportedly shown some interest in Jalen Milroe, whose stock is nearly impossible to predict right now.
The Steelers have weapons at receiver, there’s no doubt about it. Milroe brings a dynamic element with his running ability and big-time arm talent, but he needs refinement as an all-around passer. Pittsburgh might give him a great chance to thrive early as a pro with the pieces they have around him, and they don’t have a second round pick. Can they risk him lasting to the third round?
22. Los Angeles Chargers: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
What is the Michigan flavor of the day for the Los Angeles Chargers in this 2025 NFL mock draft? Today, we have Colston Loveland coming in to be one of the primary targets in the passing game for Justin Herbert.
The Chargers unearthed an absolute gem in last year’s draft with Ladd McConkey, and he’s now being joined by a familiar face in Mike Williams, who is making his return to the Chargers. The Chargers still have Quentin Johnston, and they added Najee Harris at the running back position. All that’s left to do now is add a playmaker at tight end, and the revamping of the offense will be complete.
What’s super helpful from a prospect like Colston Loveland is the fact that he’s obviously played for Jim Harbaugh in the past. He knows what’s expected in Harbaugh’s program, and he knows the offense. If there’s a more perfect round 1 fit for the Chargers, I don’t know what it is.
23. Green Bay Packers: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
I’ve said before and I’ll say again – the Packers should be absolutely praying for this scenario in the first round. They very oddly passed on cornerbacks in last year’s draft and that’s put them in a rough situation here in 2025.
They have not yet traded Jaire Alexander at the time of this writing but that remains a possibility, if not the most likely outcome. Alexander could be traded in the lead up to the draft or even during the draft, but regardless of his trade status, cornerback needs to be a priority for the Packers.
Will Johnson had been considered one of the highest-floor prospects in this year’s class but the idea of him being on par with the likes of Pat Surtain II might have been overblown. Still, he’s got good size and ball skills at the position and is technically sound. He would be a great pick for the Packers.
24. Minnesota Vikings: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
Someone is going to have to talk me out of the idea of Nick Emmanwori for the Minnesota Vikings.
Harrison Smith is still playing well but is also not getting any younger at this point. The Vikings just lost Cam Bynum in NFL free agency to the Indianapolis Colts. They need a playmaker on the back end of the defense, and they don’t have a second-round pick in this year’s draft to take advantage of the fall of another prospect.
The Vikings need someone to come in and likely start for them and Emmanwori is the perfect option here in the later portion of round one.
He is not only a physically gifted player but he’s one of the best all-around athletes in the entire 2025 NFL Draft class. Brian Flores is a madman when it comes to his blitz packages and Emmanwori could legitimately get 8-10 sacks in this defense with the way Flores could use him.
25. Houston Texans: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
It would be pretty shocking to see Matthew Golden fall this far in the 2025 NFL Draft because he’s being considered possibly the WR1 of the class right now, but that’s why we explore these scenarios.
The Houston Texans have had a really odd offseason, reshaping their offensive line after trading starting left tackle Laremy Tunsil as well as former first-round pick Kenyon Green. There are obviously players who provide a bandage on the offensive line, but Houston doesn’t have that right now at wide receiver.
The loss of players like Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell could end up being detrimental to the offense and to quarterback CJ Stroud, even though he still has a top-teir guy in Nico Collins. Getting additional playmakers at receiver is going to be a necessity and Matthew Golden wouldn’t have to go very far in this scenario. His strong hands and ability to play from the slot could perfectly complement Collins’s game.
26. Los Angeles Rams: Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky
The Los Angeles Rams have spent so much capital in the NFL Draft the last handful of years upgrading the trenches on both sides of the ball, and now they really need to invest in guys who can take advantage of that on the back end.
They’re going to be able to get pressure up front, but do the Rams currently have guys at cornerback who can make game-altering plays on the ball? There’s only so much you can ask out of Ahkello Witherspoon.
The Rams need someone like Maxwell Hairston for their secondary. Hairston has big-time speed at the position (4.28 in the 40-yard dash) and had three interceptions returned for touchdowns over the last two seasons. He’s a fun playmaker in the secondary.
27. Baltimore Ravens: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall
There’s a chance Marshall pass rusher Mike Green could wind up going somewhere closer to or even within the top 10 overall picks in this year’s draft. Talent-wise, he’s someone teams will be extremely interested in. However, a dismissal from Virginia in 2022 is something that is going to need to be looked into by NFL teams in order to justify a first-round investment in this player.
There are some pretty serious allegations and there is a decent chance teams will have Green off their boards completely because of it. But that won’t likely be the case with every team and right now, it doesn’t seem like he’s in all that much danger of not being picked extremely high.
But if he does start falling down the board, a team like the Baltimore Ravens could take the risk. On the field, Green was one of the most dominant pass rushers in college football last season and had a 6.86 three-cone time at his pro day, showcasing elite agility and bend.
28. Detroit Lions: Tyler Booker, OL, Alabama
There are a lot of different players who would make sense for the Detroit Lions in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, and almost all of them are over 300 pounds. The Lions could go with an edge rusher as well, but I would put my money on an interior offensive or defensive lineman with this pick.
And with Kevin Zeitler now gone in NFL Free Agency, an offensive guard makes a lot of sense here.
The identity of this Lions team offensively is dominating on the ground. They can’t compromise that by not having the appropriate level of talent on the interior offensive line. Those guys are getting extremely expensive nowadays as well, so getting a cost-controlled option and plug-and-play starter like Tyler Booker? That would be huge for this team in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Booker didn’t have the best Scouting Combine but his work at Alabama speaks volumes. He’s going to play for a long time in the NFL.
29. Washington Commanders: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
And so ends the fall of Tetairoa McMillan in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft. It’s going to be very interesting to see how McMillan is perceived by NFL teams next month because there are such wide-ranging opinions about his game. Because of his size, some people have compared him to Drake London and Mike Evans. Then there are some who say he’s more along the lines of Courtland Sutton.
Either way, I think he would be a nice value here and a good complement to the wide receiver room currently being assembled by Adam Peters for young superstar quarterback Jayden Daniels.
The Commanders landed Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil in trades already this offseason, knocking a couple of major items off the to-do list. Getting McMillan to complete the receiver room and add a big body with a wide catch radius for Daniels would set this offense up nicely.
30. Buffalo Bills: Kenneth Grant, DL, Michigan
The Buffalo Bills signed a couple of players for their defensive line in NFL Free Agency who ended up getting popped shortly thereafter with six-game PED suspensions. Not good.
Buffalo doesn’t have the luxury of any sort of competitive disadvantage early in the season because they are on a quest to get the #1 overall seed in the AFC and make the conference come through Buffalo instead of having to go on the road.
Therefore, getting as much help on the defensive front would be the best course of action for this team. Kenneth Grant is over 330 pounds but moves like he’s 250. He’s a tremendous athlete, strong at the point of attack, and will be an asset for any team immediately in terms of his run defense.
31. Kansas City Chiefs: Kelvin Banks, OT, Texas
Even after signing Jaylon Moore in NFL Free Agency, the Chiefs can’t take any chances with the offensive line suffering any sort of dropoff. They are currently planning on Moore playing the left tackle position with Kingsley Suamataia playing left guard to replace Joe Thuney.
In other words, the Chiefs are taking a high risk, maybe high reward approach to protecting the blind side of the best player in their franchise’s history.
Now that Patrick Mahomes has officially reached his 30s this season, the Chiefs cannot mess around and just “hope” he’s going to be well-protected. The Super Bowl against the Eagles was the second Super Bowl in which the offensive line for Kansas City was absolutely embarrassed.
And it’s 100 percent a personnel issue.
Getting Kelvin Banks could cover either the left tackle or left guard spot, whichever the Chiefs determine is a bigger need.
32. Philadelphia Eagles: Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College
After completely dominating in the Super Bowl with their four-man pass rush, the Philadelphia Eagles lost a couple of key pieces in NFL Free Agency.
Josh Sweat left for the Arizona Cardinals to reunite with Jonathan Gannon while the Patriots threw a massive bag at defensive tackle Milton Williams. The Eagles are undoubtedly going to respond by getting back into the defensive line mix here in round one, and I wouldn’t be shocked if Howie Roseman targets someone in a trade up the board.
Here, he actually gets a really great value with Boston College edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku, who has been extremely productive and has the type of athleticism the Eagles covet off the edge. He would be a grand slam of a pick this late in the first round and would allow the Eagles and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio to keep on sending pass rush in waves.

37. Las Vegas Raiders: Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State

55. Los Angeles Chargers: Jack Bech, WR, TCU
56. Buffalo Bills: Xavier Watts, S, Notre Dame
57. Carolina Panthers: JT Tuimoloau, EDGE, Ohio State

60. Detroit Lions: Tyleik Williams, DL, Ohio State
61. Washington Commanders: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame
62. Buffalo Bills: Darien Porter, CB, Iowa State
63. Kansas City Chiefs: Alfred Collins, DL, Texas
64. Philadelphia Eagles: Jared Wilson, OL, Georgia
There are a handful of players in the second round of this mock draft who would be absolute steals in the slots they’re getting taken, including Luther Burden at pick 33 overall for the Cleveland Browns.
The Las Vegas Raiders and offensive coordinator Chip Kelly get one of the most complete overall running backs in this year’s draft class in Quinshon Judkins, who could end up being the steal of the second round if he makes it there. There has been some talk that Judkins could be getting looked at in the 1st round by some teams. Chip Kelly would probably love to reunite with either Judkins or TreVeyon Henderson.
Another player who could be very close to the 1st round discussion right now is LSU tight end Mason Taylor, the son of NFL legend Jason Taylor. Taylor is athletic, a good receiver, and has untapped potential. He’d be a nice outlet right away for Justin Fields in New York.
The Seahawks and Packers took a couple of the biggest and most athletic receivers in the class out of Iowa State – Jayden Higgins and Jalyn Noel. Those two guys are expected to be Day 2 steals with their combination of size and athleticism.

Here in the third round of this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, we have a number of teams getting a little risky at the quarterback position.
Both of the New York teams took some shots on quarterbacks here with the Giants taking Tyler Shough and the Jets taking Quinn Ewers. I love the idea of Ewers going to the Jets as the backup and possible down-the-road option behind Justin Fields. He has the makeup of the ideal backup in the NFL with his football IQ and athletic traits, even if he doesn’t work out as a full-time starter.
Tyler Shough spent seven years at the collegiate level and finally put it together this past year at Louisville. He joins the ridiculously crowded QB room with Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, and Tommy DeVito.
A couple of AFC playoff teams here get some running backs late in the round with Cam Skattebo going to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Bhayshul Tuten going to the Chiefs. Those two guys just really seem to scream out the culture of each of those teams.

I don’t know if you noticed a theme in this mock draft at all but we have the Tennessee Titans doing their best to reunite some of the top Miami Hurricanes prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Here in the fourth round, they get Damien Martinez and Xavier Restrepo both to join #1 overall pick Cam Ward. It’s certainly not a necessity but it’s always fun when teams get college teammates back together at the NFL level.
Speaking of that, we have the Denver Broncos getting an absolute steal in the fourth round here in Oregon Ducks tight end Terrance Ferguson to pair him up with Bo Nix. Ferguson will give the Broncos an additional receiving option at tight end with Evan Engram and return to his home state of Colorado to play in the pros.
Speaking of Denver native tight ends, the New Orleans Saints get a steal in Gunnar Helm here in the fourth round and the Saints’ class really seems to be loaded up looking at it on the whole after starting off with Jaxson Dart.
The 49ers get a big-time run defender in the fourth rund in Jamaree Caldwell who would be one of the biggest steals of Day 3 if he makes it this far.
