The 2025 NFL Draft is quickly approaching, so let's roll out our latest mock draft, which is three rounds long and contains some big trades. It will be quite interesting to see what happens at the top of the 2025 NFL Draft especially, as this class just does not have a lot of high-end talent.
The teams who are in need of a franchise QB probably should have gotten one in the 2024 NFL Draft, where a whopping six passers went inside the top 12 picks. The 2025 NFL Draft just does not provide nearly the amount of talent at QB.
And the best player in the NFL Draft class might just be a defensive player, so the offensive side of the ball may not be that strong. Let's dive into our latest NFL Mock Draft. It's three rounds long and has some massive trades.
2025 NFL Mock Draft: Full three-round mock draft with massive trades
1. Tennessee Titans - Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
The Tennessee Titans kick off the 2025 NFL Draft with selecting Abdul Carter from Penn State. It’s a good move for the Titans, as there is not a clear-cut QB who is worthy of the first overall pick. New Titans’ GM Mike Borgonzi has to be careful here, as this is him laying the groundwork of his tenure.
Making the wrong selection could backfire in a huge way, so it should come as no surprise that Carter is the pick. He is the best overall player in the NFL Draft and obviously the best defensive prospect as well. The bigger question is if the Titans will address the QB position further on in this mock draft?
2. Las Vegas Raiders (via CLE) - Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
Trade! The first big-time trade of the 2025 NFL Draft sees the Las Vegas Raiders jumping a few teams to take Shedeur Sanders, the QB from Colorado. Whether you agree with it or not, Sanders is likely going no lower than pick two or three, honestly.
He is arguably the best QB in a weaker class, and for the teams that do need a franchise passer, they may truly have to settle for someone. Sanders is quite accurate and he’s very good from inside the pocket, so he does have some positive, NFL-caliber trades that the Raiders can develop.
3. New York Giants - Cameron Ward, QB, Miami (FL)
Cam Ward falls into the laps of the New York Giants at pick three, and they can’t pass up him. Woof, where do we begin with the Giants? Perhaps the worst-run team in the NFL, this franchise has made a series of horrific mistakes over the last couple of years.
They extended Daniel Jones two offseasons ago on a four-year, $160 million deal. That was a fireable offense. They also let Saquon Barkley walk out the door in free agency last offseason, and the argument from GM Joe Schoen was that, and I am paraphrasing here, ‘are we paying a QB $40 million a year to hand off to a $12 million per year running back?’
And again last offseason, the Giants passed up on all of Bo Nix, JJ McCarthy, and Michael Penix Jr in favor of Malik Nabers. This team is being run totally backwards, so they have to hope and pray that Cam Ward can develop into a QB good enough to allow Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll to keep their respective jobs.
The Giants probably have to get into the postseason in 2025 or have to show quite a bit of promise while predominantly starting Ward to keep their jobs into 2026.
4. New England Patriots - Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
The New England Patriots got rid of Jerod Mayo after one season on the job - it was the right move by fire. Mayo’s tenure was a disaster, so they pivoted and corrected their mistake by hiring Mike Vrabel, someone who was very much inside the ‘Patriot Way’ but also made his own mark outside of the organization.
Vrabel is surely going to want to prioritize the trenches - the offensive line was horrific in 2024 and the defensive line could use another player or two. With Mason Graham still on the board, the Patriots make the move.
I would firmly expect this team to be aggressive in free agency in trying to upgrade the offensive line and the wide receiver room as well.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars - Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado
The Jacksonville Jaguars seemed to have lucked into Liam Coen as their new head coach. Coen was going to return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as their offensive coordinator on a new contract, but at the last second, the Jags fired GM Trent Baalke, who seemed to be the roadblock in this.
Coen then decided he wanted to coach the Jaguars. It was a whirlwind of a story to follow and it kind of happened very quickly. Now that the Jags have some direction for 2025 and maybe beyond, they can work on bettering their roster for the coming season.
One player that could fit them like a glove is Travis Hunter, the do-it-all Heisman Trophy winner from Colorado. Playing both CB and WR at a high level, the Jaguars may be able to deploy Hunter in a similar way in Jacksonville.
They do have to be careful to not put too much wear on his tires, but he does have NFL-caliber talent at both positions. Hunter to the Jags at pick five in this NFL Mock Draft.
6. Cleveland Browns (via LV) - Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
At pick six, the Cleveland Browns are taking Mykel Williams from Georgia. You can probably guess what major trade we have in store for you later on if the Browns are using this pick on a pass-rusher…
The Browns have been in the news quite a bit lately, as several weeks ago, QB Deshaun Watson tore his Achilles tendon again. And then just recently, stud pass-rusher Myles Garrett requested a trade.
Cleveland would benefit from just blowing this thing up and resetting. The only issue with that is the lack of QB talent in the 2025 NFL Draft. Them trading down for some extra capital might be the move here, so they take Williams from Georgia to fill the void left by you know who…
7. New York Jets - Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
It will be quite interesting to follow what the New York Jets plan on doing this coming offseason. And this especially pertains to Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams, their two most notable players. To be fair to the previous regime, there are a lot of talented young players. Joe Douglas knew what he was doing in the NFL Draft, but some of his other moves just did not work out.
If you ask me, the Jets definitely need to move on from one of Rodgers or Adams and have to find a long-term QB solution. Their new GM is Darren Mougey, who was previously with the Denver Broncos, and their new head coach is Aaron Glenn, who played for the Jets.
The first draft pick of this new era is Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, who could be a nice compliment to Garrett Wilson or could be the go-to guy if Wilson forces his way out.
8. Dallas Cowboys (via CAR) - Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
Trade! In the most Dallas Cowboys’ move ever, they trade up a few slots for Ashton Jeanty, the talented running back from Boise State. Their new head coach is Brian Schottenheimer, and they kind of went backward into this hire after letting Mike McCarthy walk out the door.
The Cowboys are a mess, but the long-time NFL assistant in Schottenheimer will probably be very motivated to prove people wrong in Dallas. Honestly, it’s a good thing that McCarthy got out when he did…
Dallas needs a bell-cow running back even with the solid play from Rico Dowdle in 2024. They opt to take Jeanty to give Dak Prescott and elite weapon out of the backfield. With how much of an unknown Jerry Jones is, I am not even sure he knows what he'll do next to this franchise.
You kind of have to feel bad for Cowboys' fans.
9. New Orleans Saints - Will Campbell, OT, LSU
The New Orleans Saints are a total mess. They are in cap hell and just need to keep acquiring young talent. With how bad of a job GM Mickey Loomis has done in recent years, I have no idea how the Saints’ powers that be think that he can turn this thing around.
The momentum seems to indicate that Kellen Moore is going to be the team’s new head coach, and it truly would only be fair to Moore if he got a very long leash to help the Saints in turning this thing around.
They have years of cap-cleanup to do and need some key positions filled. Will Campbell is a safe pick with the ninth overall selection.
10. Denver Broncos (via CHI) - Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
Denver Broncos’ head coach Sean Payton recently chatted with Kay Adams and seemed to indicate that the team is going to pursue a ‘joker’ at the tight end or running back position. Well, the one player in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft who could fill this role is Tyler Warren from Penn State.
Warren is the best tight end in a very deep TE class. In fact, this TE class is almost historically deep. The Broncos have to trade up 10 picks into the Chicago Bears’ 10th overall slot. Warren immediately comes into the lineup as the team’s most dynamic weapon and could form an instant connection with Bo Nix.
And mind you, Nix threw for a whopping 29 touchdown passes in his rookie season, which is an insane number given the lack of weapons the team had to use in 2024. Watch out for the Broncos to make an astronomical leap in 2025. Sean Payton has this team cooking with gas, folks.
11. San Francisco 49ers - Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
The San Francisco 49ers seem to be bringing the band back together. Robert Saleh is their new head coach, which is a strong hire. The Niners also have needs in the secondary. Safety Talanoa Hufanga and cornerback Charvarius Ward are free agents in 2025.
And I do wonder if the Niners are going to try what the Minnesota Vikings were able to do - rebuild the roster while remaining competitive. This does include hitting on some rookie draft picks and getting immediate contributions from them.
Will Johnson might be the best pure CB prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft, and at pick 11 in this mock draft, the 49ers make the move. Getting Robert Saleh a talented cornerback is a wise idea, as the main reason in bringing him back into the mix, obviously, is so the defense can get back to their dominant ways like when he was there the first time.
In other news, San Fran may have an interesting decision to make about the contract of quarterback Brock Purdy, and are they going to try and bring the entire gang back on offense? This team does have some questions to answer.
12. Carolina Panthers (via DAL) - Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M
The Carolina Panthers traded down a few slots with the Dallas Cowboys and pick 12th overall in this mock draft now. They’ll take EDGE Nic Scourton from Texas A&M. The Panthers do desperately need some pass rush help, as trading Brian Burns to the New York Giants definitely depleted this room in a big way.
The Panthers can’t just not address the defense, as the main story with this team as we get into the offseason is whether Bryce Young can make a leap into year three. We saw Young playing quite well after being benched in 2024. If he can develop into a franchise passer in 2025, the Panthers may actually have something going.
But the defense needs help along all three phases, but no more than their pass rush, so Nic Scourton at pick 12 makes a lot of sense for this team.
13. Miami Dolphins - Kelvin Banks Jr, OT, Texas
The Miami Dolphins have to figure out how to win in the cold weather. This isn’t just some silly trope that people use to try and bash the team - it is absolutely a fact that the Dolphins are not a good football team when it gets a little bit chilly.
The unfortunate thing here is that their QB, Tua Tagovailoa, is not someone who can be leading an NFL franchise when it gets to be late November and into December. He’s undersized with an average arm and a huge injury history.
At this point, Tagovailoa is a perfectly average QB who will perform based on what is around him. I guess in the meantime until the Dolphins realize he isn’t a legitimate franchise QB, they can build up their trenches. Kelvin Banks Jr is the pick here for Miami with the 13th selection in this NFL Mock Draft.
Miami isn’t going to win a Super Bowl with Tua Tagovailoa under center or this current roster. They’ll be stuck in the ‘good not great’ tier until something major changes, but Banks is a solid pick at a position of need, so you can’t go wrong with this selection.
14. Indianapolis Colts - Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
The Indianapolis Colts probably had Tyler Warren in mind, as they are missing a legitimate tight end, but the secondary has also been a unit that GM Chris Ballard has shockingly neglected for years now. Perhaps in 2025, that changes. Ballard has to be on his last chance, right?
He’s got a career losing record as the Colts’ GM and still does not have a franchise QB on the team. It would not shock me to see the Colts bringing in a high-end veteran QB to push Anthony Richardson a bit. With that being said, the defense is still an area of need.
Malaki Starks is the talented safety from Georgia and is the team’s pick with the 14th overall selection. Perhaps some better play on the backend is coming with the selection of Starks and Lou Anarumo now running the show on defense.
15. Atlanta Falcons - James Pearce Jr, EDGE, Tennessee
The Atlanta Falcons will be handing the keys to Michael Penix Jr in 2025. If the Falcons had Penix in mind even before they signed Kirk Cousins, well, why did they sign Kirk Cousins…?
This team has had an interesting last year. They handed Cousins a four-year, $180 million deal in free agency and shockingly used their eighth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft on Penix. The Falcons definitely got bashed for these two moves, but if nothing else, you really can’t fault GM Terry Fontenot for putting in place what he thought was immediate QB production and a long-term QB answer.
Cousins ended up enduring a very brutal stretch of play, which paved the way for Penix to get some starts at the end of the year. The Falcons are now likely cutting Cousins when the new league year begins, so Penix will get to prove that he can be the guy.
And with how solid the offensive personnel is, Atlanta can and should address their defense. They take James Pearce Jr and get some young juice along the defensive line, which is something they are desperately missing. The Falcons also hired Jeff Ulbrich to be their new defensive coordinator, so this unit could turn around quickly in 2025.
Pearce Jr is a safe and smart selection for Terry Fontenot and the Falcons.
16. Arizona Cardinals - Tyler Booker, OG, Alabama
The Arizona Cardinals simply need more talent on their roster. Giving Kyler Murray some more protection is a wise idea. Tyler Booker is a sure-fire pick at guard and is going to be a long-term fixture along their offensive line for years to come. The Cardinals won just four games in 2023 but won eight in 2024, doubling their win total.
With another strong offseason, the Cardinals could probably squeak out another win or two in 2025. The team seems to be flying under the radar a bit, and with a bit of uncertainty with literally every other team in the NFC West, Arizona may have a legitimate shot to make some actual progress in the division.
The Cardinals’ GM is Monti Ossenfort, and he’s got this team right on the cusp of the postseason if he can put together a stronger offseason in the coming months. Tyler Booker is a wise selection.
17. Cincinnati Bengals - Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina
Maybe one of the best QB seasons ever totally wasted, the Cincinnati Bengals are a cheap and dysfunctional franchise missing a ton of talent on the defensive side of the ball, but their work can’t stop there. Ja’Marr Chase is due for a contract extension, and Tee Higgins is also a free agent.
It will be quite interesting to see if the Bengals will be able to bring Higgins back. Their history would tell you that they just won’t make a very competitive offer. And Chase has now wrapped up his fourth season in the NFL, so his extension needs done and is a higher priority. This is just an all-around ugly situation for a franchise like Cincy.
But no matter what they do offensively, they have to invest into their defense, so they take CB Shavon Revel from East Carolina at pick 17 in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft. The team parted ways with former defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, so this unit could look a lot different in 2025 and beyond.
The Bengals are approaching an insanely crucial offseason for the future of their franchise and perhaps for the happiness of their star QB, Joe Burrow.
18. Seattle Seahawks - Cameron Williams, OT, Texas
Are the Seattle Seahawks bold enough to try to make a QB move? Geno Smith is not a franchise QB and is not taking any team to where they all want to go. He’s a perfectly average passer at best and is good for nine-ish wins a season in the right situation. The Seahawks saw first-year head coach Mike Macdonald lead them to a 10-win season in his first year.
Just imagine how good this team is going to be when they fix their offensive line an find a franchise QB…
Regardless of who is taking snaps under center for the Seahawks in 2025, they have to find more starting-caliber players along the offensive line, so Cameron Williams is my selection here for the Seahawks with the 18th overall pick in this NFL Mock Draft.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia
Losing former offensive coordinator Liam Coen to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are again going to be having a new playcaller. The Bucs feel like a perfect example of a good-not-great team. They won 10 games in 2024 and won the NFC South yet again, but in each of the last two seasons, the Bucs have lost in the first or second round of the postseason.
Baker Mayfield is a good QB, but he’s not an elite passer and probably isn’t good enough to eventually lead them to a Super Bowl. However, the Bucs are in a good spot to again win the NFC South in 2025, especially if they are able to get someone like Jalon Walker from Georgia. Someone who could rush the passer and play inside linebacker, Walker could be a very valuable piece for the defense, which is missing some juice.
Offensively, the Buccaneers also have some interesting decisions to make - do they bring Chris Godwin back in free agency? How do they eventually prepare the WR room for the long-term? Mike Evans had another 1,000-yard season, but he is getting old, and Godwin would be coming off of a dislocated ankle…
20. Chicago Bears (via DEN) - Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon
The Chicago Bears accepted a trade down offer with the Denver Broncos, so now they’re set to select at pick 20 in this NFL Mock Draft. They’ll grab Derrick Harmon, the talented defensive tackle from Oregon.
The Bears are missing another player along their defensive line, and I would venture to guess that the team is actually going to be a bit aggressive in free agency in trying to fix their offensive line. Chicago has money to spend and a respectable free agent OL class.
Ben Johnson is the team’s head coach now, so you know he’s going to want a hefty investment into the OL. The Johnson hire was clearly made to get the most out of Caleb Williams and the offense, and it finally seems like the Bears are catching up to the rest of the NFL in this regard.
Derrick Harmon could come in and immediately start for Chicago, and with how talented the other offenses in the NFC North are, Chicago’s already strong defense needs to stay that way. While the popular pick might be someone along the offensive line, the DL is also an area that needs some attention.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers - Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri
Jay Glazer recently said that the Pittsburgh Steelers are probably not going to bring Russell Wilson back in the 2025 NFL Season. That is indeed the right move, so Pittsburgh may go into the offseason with a need at the position. They could bring Justin Fields back and start the former Bears’ QB, but he isn’t a franchise passer, so I am not sure what the Steelers would be trying to accomplish with Fields under center.
One thing is clear, though; the Steelers do need another wide receiver. Heck, they might need multiple new bodies at that position, as George Pickens seems to be on thin ice. I went with Luther Burden III from Missouri, who is very good with the ball in his hands.
The Steelers have always been a team that knows how to draft and develop wide receivers, so perhaps this is an indication that Burden ends up being a hit at the position.
Until Pittsburgh can get with the program at quarterback, they won’t take the next step. Could Justin Fields be throwing to Luther Burden III in 2025 and beyond in Pittsburgh?
22. Los Angeles Chargers - Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
The Los Angeles Chargers broke out in 2024 and went 11-6 in the regular season in the first year of the Jim Harbaugh era. It’s clear, though, that the Chargers were playing with a bit of house money this past season. They do need a couple more weapons on offense and could revamp their pass rush on defense.
Matthew Golden is one of the more well-rounded players at WR in the 2025 NFL Draft class, and he could slide right into the offense to form a nice duo with Ladd McConkey, the Chargers’ stud rookie WR from the 2024 NFL Draft.
LA could also use some more juice at tight end and could use some cornerback help as well. With how quickly the front office and coaching staff figured this thing out, there is a ton of reason to believe that they’ll be able to shore up the remaining roster needs heading into the 2025 NFL Season.
Matthew Golden to the Chargers at pick 22 in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft.
23. Green Bay Packers - Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame
The Green Bay Packers do have a lot of good players, but they don’t have a lot of great ones. That is a huge problem and would be a reason why they never get over the hump. One area where they could look to get younger and better is in the secondary. Jaire Alexander has struggled to stay on the field in recent years.
Moving on from Alexander could very much be on the table, so the Packers draft CB Benjamin Morrison from Notre Dame at pick 23 in this NFL mock draft. Green Bay went 11-6 in the 2024 NFL Season and lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Them being in the stacked NFC North also doesn’t help things. We’ll see if Green Bay can take that next step into being an elite team in 2025 and beyond.
24. Minnesota Vikings - Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
The Minnesota Vikings did a great job at remaining competitive over the past couple of seasons while rebuilding their roster, and I am not sure even they knew that the 2024 season was going to go the way it did. In the 2024 NFL Draft, they took JJ McCarthy from Michigan, but a torn meniscus ended his year before it began, really, so they had to pivot to Sam Darnold.
And Darnold absolutely played like an MVP for much of the season. With the Vikings kind of sputtering down the stretch and getting knocked out in the first round of the NFL Playoffs, that could make their decision a lot easier - they may feel comfortable turning it over to McCarthy and allowing Darnold to test free agency.
They’d save money in this regard, and it would also allow them to be aggressive at other positions. Minnesota has a need at safety with Cam Bynum set to be a free agent and the possibility that Harrison Smith retires.
Nick Emmanwori is a player that I have mocked to the Vikings many times and someone I have seen mocked to the Vikings by others.
25. Houston Texans - Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
The Houston Texans could easily reunite CJ Stroud and Emeka Egbuka. The two were both at Ohio State in the 2022 college football season, and the Texans do need more WR help. Stefon Diggs was probably only a one-year option, and Tank Dell suffered yet another major injury. Right now, the Texans have Nico Collins and not much else.
Emeka Egbuka would be a very strong fit on this offense. He’s a good blocker, can run routes, and has great hands. He probably still has some chemistry left with Stroud from their days at OSU, and seeing as how rocky the Texans’ offense was at times in 2024, it makes some sense to give Stroud more weapons.
Houston also needs to get better along the interior of their offensive line as well, so that could be another huge area of need for this team heading into the 2025 NFL Offseason. Egbuka to the Texans make a lot of sense.
26. Los Angeles Rams - Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
The Los Angeles Rams seem to be in a bit of a pickle. Cooper Kupp is going to be traded, and that was announced by the player himself. It’s clear that Kupp disagrees with the Rams’ intention to trade him, and we even saw Matthew Stafford’s wife sound off on this.
With the Rams’ recent success in rebuilding for the future while remaining competitive, you have to wonder if this is going to spill into the WR and QB positions with potential moves with Kupp and Stafford.
It really would not shock me to see both players traded this coming offseason. Right now, though, the Rams are picking 26th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft and do not have a clear-cut path to a franchise QB this season.
It may benefit them to continue building up the young talent on offense and figuring out a long-term plan at the QB position. Coltston Loveland is still on the board here at the bottom of the first round, so the Los Angeles Rams make the move and bring in yet another young player on offense for the long-term.
27. Baltimore Ravens - Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
In other news, Lamar Jackson got absolutely cheated out of his third MVP award, so the Baltimore Ravens’ QB probably felt a bit shocked that the award went to Josh Allen, who was simply not nearly as good in 2024.
The Buffalo Bills did beat the Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional Round of the AFC Playoffs. However, the Ravens did beat the Bills in the regular season. Anyway, Baltimore could use some OL help, as they could see left tackle Ronnie Stanley leave in free agency.
Josh Simmons would be a huge get for the Ravens with the 27th overall selection. But when you look at the big picture, it is hard to identify what exactly the Ravens need to get over the hump. Is it more weapons? Another pass rusher? More offensive line help? Who knows.
The Ravens take Josh Simmons and will again try to make a deep playoff run in the 2025 NFL Season. Is it only a matter of time before Baltimore makes the Super Bowl?
28. Detroit Lions - Tyleik Williams, DT, Ohio State
The Detroit Lions had quite the 2024 season. If not for some brutal defensive injuries, they still might be in the playoffs as we speak. And to make matters worse for the team, they lost both Aaron Glenn and Ben Johnson to head coaching jobs, so not only will they have two new coordinators, but they’ll also have to avoid the regression that may come with losing Glenn and Johnson.
It would not shock me to see Detroit target a wide receiver or another player along the defensive line. Tyleik Williams is the pick here for the Lions with the 28th overall selection in this NFL Mock Draft. Dan Campbell’s true colors as a head coach may come out given that his stud coordinators are gone - will the Lions remain atop the NFC, or is a regression on the horizon?
Honestly, if they didn’t win the NFC North it 2025, it would not shock me at all…
29. Cleveland Browns (via WAS) - Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
Major trade alert! The Washington Commanders are going to send a couple of picks in this year’s draft plus some other capital to acquire stud pass rusher Myles Garrett from the Cleveland Browns. The Browns do trade Garrett and meet his demands in this mock draft, so Cleveland is going to come away with quite a few picks in this mock.
They’ll take Armand Membou from Missouri in their second pick in the first round. Membou might kick inside at the next level, and that’s totally fine. Since there isn’t a path for the Browns to easily find a franchise QB in 2025, building up the trenches is a smart place to start, and you have to figure that GM Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski may be on their last straws in their roles.
Trading Myles Garrett would be a bold move, but for the long-term viability of this franchise, getting a ton of capital for a player who is clearly unhappy would make some sense. Garrett to the Commanders in this mock draft while the Browns take Membou.
30. Buffalo Bills - Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss
The Buffalo Bills saw their QB, Josh Allen, win his first MVP award. It’s definitely been a bit of a controversial fallout, as Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens was more efficient in just about every metric. Some have said that this is a bit of a charity MVP for Allen, and I would tend to agree.
The Bills lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game this year. Buffalo is missing some talent in the secondary and could use some younger blood along the defensive line. Walter Nolen from Ole Miss is an explosive player and would be a great selection for the Bills here at the bottom of the first round.
Many did think Buffalo wasn’t going to be nearly as good this year as they were, which is a huge credit to their GM, Brandon Beane.
The Bills could also address Josh Allen’s contract this offseason and give him a bit of a raise.
31. Philadelphia Eagles - Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan
Would this come as a shock to anyone? No, absolutely not. Eagles’ GM Howie Roseman has been among the best GMs in the NFL for quite some time now, and he’s not operating with some sort of secret formula. Roseman simply knows what positions need to be solid for a team to sustain success in the NFL.
Philly does have some defensive free agents this coming offseason. Milton Williams and Josh Sweat are free agents along their DL. Stud inside linebacker Zack Baun is also a free agent. This could open up some space along their front, so I went with Kenneth Grant from Michigan.
Roseman has done a great job being proactive along their defensive line for years now, and their DL does look a lot different from even two years ago when they appeared in Super Bowl LIX.
Don’t be surprised if we see another Howie Roseman masterclass in the 2025 NFL Draft.
32. Kansas City Chiefs - Jahdae Barron, DB, Texas
As of now, the Kansas City Chiefs are picking 32nd overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. This will stay the same if they defeat the Philadephia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. The Chiefs do have some roster needs even if they do win the Super Bowl. The team needs a franchise left tackle, some wide receiver and tight end help, and even more secondary help.
Safety Justin Reid is a free agent in 2025, and the Chiefs are not going to be flush with cap space. KC could look to draft someone like Jahdae Barron, the defensive back from Texas. Barron can play all over the secondary and would be a perfect player to thrive in Steve Spagnuolo’s defenses.
In fact, this might be a perfect fit. Chiefs’ fans may prefer to see something on offense, but Barron might just be too good to pass up here. If the Chiefs can beat the Eagles, they will become the first team in the history of the NFL to win three Super Bowls in a row. The Eagles are back in the big game for the second time in three seasons.
2025 NFL Mock Draft: Round 2
33. Cleveland Browns - Harold Fannin Jr, TE, Bowling Green
34. New York Giants - Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss
35. Tennessee Titans - Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama
36. Jacksonville Jaguars - Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall
37. Cleveland Browns (via LV) - Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina
38. New England Patriots - Jonah Savaiinaea, OT, Arizona
39. Chicago Bears - Wyatt Milum, OG, West Virginia
40. New Orleans Saints - Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
41. Chicago Bears - Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss
42. New York Jets - Landon Jackson, EDGE, Arkansas
43. San Francisco 49ers - Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama
44. Carolina Panthers (via DAL) - Xavier Watts, S, Notre Dame
45. Indianapolis Colts - Deone Walker, DT, Kentucky
46. Atlanta Falcons - Xavier Restrepo, WR, Miami (FL)
47. Arizona Cardinals - Princely Umanmielen, EDGE, Ole Miss
48. Miami Dolphins - Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota
49. Cincinnati Bengals - Kaleb Johnson, RB, Iowa
50. Seattle Seahawks - JT Tuimoloau, EDGE, Ohio State
51. Chicago Bears (via DEN) - Josh Conerly Jr, OT, Oregon
52. Pittsburgh Steelers - Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss
53. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Elic Ayomanor, WR, Stanford
54. Green Bay Packers - Jack Sawyer, EDGE, Ohio State
55. Los Angeles Chargers - Donovan Jackson, OG, Ohio State
56. Buffalo Bills - Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky
57. Carolina Panthers - Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas
58. Houston Texans - Marcus Mbow, OT, Purdue
59. Baltimore Ravens - Barrett Carter, LB, Clemson
60. Detroit Lions - Emery Jones, OT, LSU
61. Cleveland Browns (via WAS) - Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas
62. Buffalo Bills - Kevin Winston Jr, S, Penn State
63. Philadelphia Eagles - Mason Taylor, TE, LSU
64. Kansas City Chiefs - TJ Sanders, DT, South Carolina
We definitely saw some notable selections in the second round of this mock draft. The Tennessee Titans use their second-round pick on Jalen Milroe, the dual-threat, dynamic quarterback from Alabama. The Cleveland Browns continue building for the future with younger players and look to replace Nick Chubb with UNC running back Omarion Hampton.
Later on, we see the Cleveland Browns in some of their return from the Myles Garrett hypothetical trade snag Quinn Ewers from Texas. Ewers could be a fun, developmental prospect for Kevin Stefanski.
Another AFC North team also gets in on the fun with the Pittsburgh Steelers taking Jaxson Dart, the Ole Miss quarterback. If nothing else, there could be some half-decent value in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft with the QB class. The first-round prospects are really nothing special, but you do have to wonder if this generation's Derek Carr is somewhere in the mid-rounds.
With the lack of top-end talent in the NFL Draft this year, the second round could be the sweet spot.
Let's get into the third round now.

101. Detroit Lions - Oronde Gadsden II, TE, Syracuse
How about the Los Angeles Rams? The team uses their third-round pick here in this NFL Mock Draft to grab Will Howard, the quarterback from Ohio State. The Rams do have to put a long-term QB plan in place when Matthew Stafford eventually retires or when the Rams are ready to move on. When you think about it, the team is set to trade Cooper Kupp, so that could signal the end of this current era.
And the Rams do have a ton of good, young players. But they do not have one of those players at the QB spot. We also saw the New Orleans Saints use their third-round pick on Kyle McCord from Syracuse. You do have to wonder if one of these mid-round QBs can end up with a better shot to develop than the first-round quarterbacks.
The Detroit Lions finish off our latest mock draft with Oronde Gadsden II, and interesting offensive selection. Gadsden could be another fun weapon on offense for the Lions, a team that lost Ben Johnson to the Chicago Bears.
