We've got another mock draft cooked up, and this one is two rounds long and has some insane trades included. It's becoming abundantly clear which teams are needing to use the 2025 NFL Draft to rebuild their QB. As you can guess, the worst teams in the NFL all have at least one thing in common; their QB play is bottom of the league.

That's simply how the NFL works nowadays, so even though this quarterback class is projected to be a bit weaker than 2024's, I would still expects a ton of QBs to come off the board. There also isn't quite as much talent on offense in the 2025 NFL Draft class as there was in 2024. For teams who do need to rebuild their offense, they may be in a bad spot overall.

Well, we whipped up yet another NFL mock draft. This one is two rounds long and includes trades.

2025 NFL Mock Draft: Full two round mock draft with insane trades

1. Carolina Panthers - Cameron Ward, QB, Miami (FL)

This pick should not be a shock.  Cameron Ward seems to be on pace to be the first or second QB taken in the 2025 NFL Draft.  He’s playing out of his mind for Miami and is someone that one of the top teams picking in the NFL Draft may have their eyes on.  The Carolina Panthers may be the worst and most dysfunctional franchise in the NFL at the moment.

They do have some pieces here and there but are obviously missing the franchise QB and shouldn’t try to make it work with Bryce Young.  Sure, Young doesn’t have control of what players are brought in and the poor ownership, but Young can’t play.  He just can’t if we’re being honest, so it’s time for the Panthers to make a move like this.

2. Tennessee Titans - Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

The Tennessee Titans are flat-out awful and need to reset at QB in the 2025 NFL Draft.  In this mock draft, they take Shedeur Sanders, who some may consider to be the best QB in the nation.  And honestly, he just might be.  I understand that some may not think highly of him due to the unnecessary attention and drama that comes their way, but Sanders is legit.

He’s not going to create a ton out of structure, but he’s very good from the pocket, which is a huge quality to be an NFL QB.

3. Las Vegas Raiders (via NE) - Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama

Trade!  The New England Patriots have traded down, and the Las Vegas Raiders have traded up several spots.  The Raiders need a QB, obviously, and take Jalen Milroe in his NFL mock draft.  Milroe may be the biggest “boom or bust” prospect at QB, and given how the Raiders are fun, that type of player fits the franchise.

The team seriously trotted out Gardner Minshew II to begin the season and were not able to land a QB in the 2024 NFL Draft.  I don’t think they expected someone like Michael Penix Jr to be off the board before the Raiders got to him.  The Denver Broncos picked right before them and took Bo Nix.

If the team wants to rebuild the right way, they must take a QB in the 2025 NFL Draft, period.  This team, beyond the QB, needs a ton of help on both sides of the ball, but getting the QB fixes most things.

4. New York Jets - Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

Doesn’t this just feel right?  The New York Jets need to blow their operation up and start from scratch, but I am not sure they do that.  Travis Hunter can play both wide receiver and cornerback, so this could end up being a very smart pick by the Jets.  It’s hard to say who is going to be making the decisions for New York, as I am not sure Joe Douglas survives this season.

And Woody Johnson may be meddling too much for the Jets to make the right move here.  They hold the 4th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft at the moment and need to take a QB, but that is what smart franchises do.  The Jets are not one of those franchises.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars - Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

Oh boy, what has happened to the Jacksonville Jaguars?  They are 2-6 through eight games for the second time in three years.  It’s not clear if Doug Pederson will be able to survive this year, but the last time this team started 2-6, they ended up going 9-8 and winning the AFC South.

The Jags are far too talented to be this bad, and with a ton of tough opponents still remaining on their schedule, an in-season firing could be on the horizon.  One area that the Jags need to get better is in the secondary.  Will Johnson from Michigan is probably going to be the first CB taken in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Jaguars would benefit from taking Johnson.  This team also needs some help along the offensive line, but this OL class is not all that great, so they opt to draft a better prospect and take Johnson.  It would not shock me to see the Jags clean house with the coaching staff and the front office this coming offseason.

6. New Orleans Saints - Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

Can the New Orleans Saints please just rebuild the right way?  This team should be in the business of selling players at the 2024 NFL Trade Deadline, but as we creep closer toward it, the Saints haven’t done much of it.  The team’s cap situation in 2025 is again going to be brutal, and the one way out of that is to draft good, young players and to shed some veteran contracts.

Saints GM Mickey Loomis keeps running the tab up, but perhaps if the Saints are picking this high in the 2025 NFL Draft, they may have already begun to rebuild.  The Saints take defensive tackle Mason Graham from Michigan and begin rebuilding the trenches with young players.

7. New England Patriots (via LV) - Will Campbell, OT, LSU

The New England Patriots traded down a few slots with the Las Vegas Raiders but still were able to land one of the best OL prospects in this year’s class.  So in this mock draft, it ends up being a win-win scenario for New England.  The Pats took Drake Maye at the top of the 2024 NFL Draft, and Maye has shown some stuff in his limited action in 2024.

The priority next offseason should be to build around Maye as much as possible, and Will Campbell could be their future left tackle or even kick inside to guard.  Some have profiled Campbell as a guard at the next level, but even if that comes true, the Patriots still have a first-round need for someone like Campbell.

The Patriots cannot get caught up in fielding a bad offensive line for Drake Maye in 2025.  His second season in the NFL could be where he begins to put it all together, and having a stout OL is going to be huge for his development.  A tackle prospect has to be the pick here before a wide receiver.

8. Los Angeles Rams (via CLE) - Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas

Trade!  Somehow, the Los Angeles Rams are able to trade up with the Cleveland Browns and take Quinn Ewers from Texas.  While Rams QB Matthew Stafford is still playing well, he’s also 36 years old and clearly approaching the last couple years of his NFL career.  When the Rams swung the trade for Stafford back in 2021, the goal was to win the Super Bowl, and they did that in year one.

The team needs to have a tough conversation with themselves this coming offseason and accept that they need to rebuild for the future.  Even if Stafford is still playing well, taking someone like Ewers could help them quickly turn the page for whenever they decide that Matthew Stafford isn’t going to be their QB anymore.

Rams GM Les Snead was able to hit on Jared Goff years ago.  Could Quinn Ewers be the next one?

9. New York Giants - Carson Beck, QB, Georgia

The New York Giants probably wanted to draft Jayden Daniels in the 2024 NFL Draft.  Well, they didn’t, and trotted out Daniel Jones for his sixth year with the team.  I just have no idea how Jones was able to fleece the Giants this much to make it to 2024.  It was clear by year two that this player was not a franchise QB in the NFL.

And let’s be honest here; Brian Daboll is a very good head coach, but his GM, Joe Schoen, has not done him any favors.  The Giants decision to re-sign Daniel Jones two offseasons ago was a horrid mistake and set this franchise back years.

The G-Men currently hold pick nine in the 2025 NFL Draft, so with that pick, they take Carson Beck from Georgia.  Daboll gets a young QB he can develop, and furthermore, the Giants are financially able to do a hard-reset at the QB position this offseason.

Drafting Beck and signing a veteran bridge QB in the mold of Jacoby Brissett or Andy Dalton could be the type of set-up at QB that gets the Giants back on the right track for the future.

10. Miami Dolphins - Kelvin Banks, OT, Texas

The Miami Dolphins have an injury-prone QB in Tua Tagovailoa who they extended this past offseason.  I’m not sure the Dolphins will be able to win a Super Bowl with Tagovailoa, but since they committed to him, they also need to do some extra work to build around him.

It’s clear that he’s the type of QB who needs a good bit of help to play well, so the Dolphins take tackle Kelvin Banks from Texas in this NFL mock draft.  I could see Miami blowing everything up in the near future if the 2025 season does not go the way they hoped.

It’s a situation where it truly feels like the Dolphins are hanging by a thread and have one last shot in 2025 with this current set-up to make some noise.

11. Cincinnati Bengals - Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

The Cincinnati Bengals are in an interesting situation.  The team may end up losing Tee Higgins in free agency next year.  He’s playing on the franchise tag, but the Bengals are probably wanting to extend Ja’Marr Chase over Higgins.  The Bengals, however, also need to hit on some defensive draft picks and build on that side of the ball more.

While I would probably say a top DL prospect is the better pick here, the Bengals cannot help themselves and take Tetairoa McMillian, one of the best WRs in the country and someone who is similar in play style to Higgins in my opinion.

Burrow gets a new WR duo in Chase/McMillan for the future as the Bengals shockingly do not address the defense with their first round pick in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft.

12. Cleveland Browns (via LAR) - Garrett Nussmeier, QB, LSU

The Cleveland Browns did trade down with the Los Angeles Rams, but they were still able to land Garrett Nussmeier from LSU.  Nussmeier clearly has a high ceiling to him but does make some mistakes you want to see go away at the next level.  I truly hope Kevin Stefanski is still there in Cleveland in 2025, as he’s an excellent offensive mind and not at all any of the problem with the Browns.

The team could bring Jameis Winston back and try to develop Nussmeier behind the scenes, and at this point, as far as the Browns should be concerned, they should just tell Deshaun Watson to stay home.

Watson tore his Achilles a couple of weeks ago and may take up to 12 months to get back onto the field.  The recovery time for a torn Achilles is similar to that of a torn ACL, and who knows if the Browns would even want him to suit up for the team again?

13. Kansas City Chiefs (via DAL) Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

Trade!  The Kansas City Chiefs are trading way up in this NFL mock draft and get someone in Colston Loveland who they hope can replace TE Travis Kelce for the long-term.  As much as Kelce means to the franchise, he’s aging well into his 30s and just isn’t the player he once was, period.

This happens with every player.  The future Hall of Famer may not even play that much longer, so Chiefs GM Brett Veach does some early homework and grabs Loveland.  He’s arguably the best TE prospect in the NFL Draft class and would give Patrick Mahomes immediate production.  The Chiefs are down both Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown for most, if not all of the 2024 NFL Season.

The Chiefs playmakers are in a tough spot right now, so for the present and future, they will need some reinforcements.  Well, Veach gets someone like that in Loveland.  Would this be too bold of a move for the Chiefs?  If you consider how good Veach is in the draft, you could argue that he has the flexibility to part with draft capital to trade up.

14. Indianapolis Colts - Kenneth Grant, DL, Michigan

The Indianapolis Colts are officially a disaster, as they recently benched second-year QB Anthony Richardson.  Richardson was and is still a project and got just 10 starts before being sent to the bench.  If this was done because he’s playing poorly, it’s a mistake, but if they benched him because he took himself out of the game in Week 8 due to being a bit tired, it makes sense.

Either way, the Colts need to figure out their defense, so I went with Kenneth Grant with the 14th overall pick in this NFL mock draft.  Frankly, I am not sure Colts GM Chris Ballard still needs to be calling the shots in Indy, but there is no indication he is going anywhere.

15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - James Pearce Jr, EDGE, Tennessee

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may truly be a couple of defensive starters away from being a contending team.  The Bucs are 4-4 on the season, but their QB, Baker Mayfield, leads the NFL with 21 touchdown passes, which would put him on pace for over 40 in the 2024 NFL Season.

The Bucs defense can’t stop a nosebleed, and they have needs all across the unit.  This team is obviously capable of winning the NFC South, as they did it last year, but with the Atlanta Falcons now being a legitimate team with Kirk Cousins under center, Tampa is going to have to take more step to get on the Falcons level.

So at pick 15 in this NFL mock draft, I went with one of the best pass rushers in the country, James Pearce Jr from Tennessee.  This could be what the Buccaneers are missing on defense.

One huge thing to note though is that Chris Godwin is out for the rest of the season and is a free agent in 2025.  Mike Evans is also out for a couple more weeks and is starting to get up there in age.  The Buccaneers do have needs on offense as well, but defense is a more urgent area of need.

16. Seattle Seahawks - Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia

I would not be shocked to see the Seattle Seahawks beef up their defense yet again in the 2025 NFL Draft.  They took defensive tackle Byron Murphy in the 2024 NFL Draft.  Their head coach is Mike Macdonald, one of the top defensive minds in football.  The main issue for Seattle, though, is their QB situation, as Geno Smith isn’t going to lead them to much of anything.

Seattle does need to do a tone of homework on the QB spot this coming offseason, but if they end up winning eight or nine games, they may not be in range to take a QB they have their eyes on.  And with this QB class not projected to be all that good, Seattle could again punt on the QB spot and continue bolstering their defense.  Having a stout defense is still a huge part of developing a QB in the NFL.

I went with Mykel Williams from Georgia in this NFL mock draft.

17. San Francisco 49ers - Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

The San Francisco 49ers are enduring one of their injury-riddled seasons.  If you look at the head coaching career of Kyle Shanahan, the “down” years that he’s had have almost always been due to injury.  However, some of their star players are also getting hurt and beginning to get up there in age.  Brandon Aiyuk is out for the year.  Deebo Samuel is getting up there in age and has been hurt, and we haven’t yet seen RB Christian McCaffrey.

George Kittle is always banged up and is also getting older, so the 49ers may have to offensive rebuilding to do around Brock Purdy, who is also due for a contract extension this coming offseason.  In the first round of this mock draft, I went with Benjamin Morrison, as I do trust Kyle Shanahan more to make it work on offense.  The 49ers defense hasn’t been super special this season, so getting some defensive help could be a huge need for them.

It’ll be interesting to see how the 49ers navigate this coming offseason.  I would not be shocked to see some major changes come for the franchise.

18. Chicago Bears - Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

The Chicago Bears lost in Week 8 in the most heartbreaking fashion possible.  Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders completed a Hail Mary as time ticked off the clock.  The Bears seemed to be out of place on the Hail Mary, and that loss dropped them to 4-3 on the season and knocked them down to last place in the NFC North.

Overall, I believe the Bears will end up being just fine, but that was a huge indictment on the coaching staff if we’re being honest.  The Bears, going forward, need to continue to build around Caleb Williams.  Getting another starter along the offensive line could be an area of need, but I believe the Bears also need another pass rusher.

I went with Abdul Carter from Penn State.  Pairing him up with Montez Sweat and the rest of the Bears defense could take this unit to another level.  They’re already very good, but do have a need for more pass rush juice.

19. Arizona Cardinals - Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M

The Arizona Cardinals are in first place in the NFC West folks.  They won four games all of last year and have won four of their first eight.  I told you this team was going to be better than you think.  However, the rebuild is clearly not done yet, as when current GM Monti Ossenfort took over, the roster may have been the worst in the NFL.

He’s still got another offseason’s worth of work to beef up this roster, especially on defense.  I trust that he’ll do that, so in the 2025 NFL Draft, I mocked another pass rusher to them, which is exactly what they need.  Another cornerback could also be up for grabs here for the Cardinals, but this is most definitely a team that can make the postseason this year.

That might surprise some people, but they have a good thing going.

20. Los Angeles Chargers - Luther Burden, WR, Missouri

It’s actually insane that Luther Burden fell to pick 20 in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, but here we are.  The Los Angeles Chargers are 4-3 on the season and have one of the best defenses in the NFL.  However, it’s obvious that their offense is missing some juice.  Many thought that the team should have taken Malik Nabers in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, but they did the right thing and went with Joe Alt, the stud right tackle.

Now, the Chargers may be at a point heading into the 2025 NFL Draft to take a first-round wide receiver, which is something they need.  I went with Luther Burden, who profiles similarly to Ja’Marr Chase at the next level.  This could be a huge get for the Chargers and could give Justin Herbert a true no. 1 wide receiver to get the most out of this offense.

21. Atlanta Falcons - Deone Walker, DL, Kentucky

The Atlanta Falcons have a soft defense if you ask me.  The pass rush has been non-existent this season, and overall, the unit just isn’t that good.  It’s odd, as the Falcons do have a ton of talent at all three phases on that side of the ball.  But the offense is having to pick up the pace a bit.  That’s put more on the shoulders of veteran QB Kirk Cousins, who is in his age-36 season.

Cousins is still balling, but it’s not a formula for success if you’re asking Kirk Cousins to carry the team.  The Falcons must make a huge push next offseason to repair their limp defense, and Deone Walker from Kentucky is a great place to start.

For all the criticism that the Falcons got for taking Michael Penix Jr, it actually makes a ton of sense when you think about it, but by doing that, they weren’t able to address the DL at the top of that NFL Draft.  They have to do it this year if they want to be a complete team.

How about the best running back in the country?  Ashton Jeanty wears the orange and blue and plays for the Broncos.  Well, how about doing the exact same thing in the NFL?  The Denver Broncos do not have a bell-cow RB on the roster, as fourth-year RB Javonte Williams has not developed into that player, and being that the Broncos are probably going to go all-in around Bo Nix in 2025, them taking someone like Ashton Jeanty makes a ton of sense.

He’s someone who can carry the ball 20, 25 times a game if need be.  Fielding an elite rushing attack could help finish off the development and help the Broncos take that next step in 2025.

22. Denver Broncos - Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

Ashton Jeanty wears orange and blue and plays for the Broncos.  Well, how about doing the same thing at the NFL level?  Jeanty is clearly the best RB in the country and could end up winning the Heisman Trophy in the 2024 college football season.  He is absolutely a bell-cow running back and would be able to takeover that role for the Denver Broncos.

Fourth-year running back Javonte Williams just isn’t consistently getting it done, so it would not shock me to see the Broncos invest heavily into the RB spot this coming offseason.  Both Sean Payton and George Paton have a history of investing a lot into the backfield, and QB Bo Nix simply needs more help.

He’s got a below-average group of playmakers on offense at his disposal, and it would not surprise me to see Denver make a huge push this coming offseason to add some talented playmakers for Nix in what could be a very strong year two for him and the Broncos, who are currently 5-3 and in the playoffs right now.

23. Baltimore Ravens - Malaki Starks, S, Georgia

The Baltimore Ravens have had a shaky passing defense for a little while now.  It’s a been odd, honestly, as they have some great players on the backend.  The Ravens do have a good enough roster to take a lesser-thought-of position like safety in the first round.  I mean, they took Kyle Hamilton in the first round a few years ago, and he’s turned out to be quite good.

The Ravens just haven’t been able to get over the hump in the postseason with Lamar Jackson and John Harbaugh.  As time goes on, you just have to wonder if the Ravens will ever be able to win a Super Bowl with the Jackson/Harbaugh duo.

Until further notice, they will hold firm and continue to try and build the rest roster possible with the current set up they have.  Malaki Starks is a safety from Georgia, so it’s yet another first-round defensive player who played for the Bulldogs.

Georgia has had an insane track record in recent years with defensive players getting taken in the first round, and Starks can continue that.

24. Philadelphia Eagles - Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas

The Philadelphia Eagles are going to continue to bolster their offense.  For years now, Philly has had one of the best offensive lines in football and have also had a top WR duo in the NFL with AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith.  Well, at some point, Brown and Smith won’t be together in Philly.

Cap situations can change and players get old.  It’s not that Philly is going to blow anything up anytime soon, but it’s clear that they are still kind of hurting for a WR3.  Eagles GM Howie Roseman is flat-out insane at his job, so it’s not going to be a shock to see him take a player like Isaiah Bond, a wide receiver from Texas.

Roseman has always been a forward-thinking GM, so a pick like this would not at all surprise me.

25. Minnesota Vikings - Shavon Revel Jr, CB, East Carolina

The Minnesota Vikings have a very good defense.  Their pass rush is among the best in the NFL, but their main issue is that they don’t have good enough CB play to match the elite pass rush.  This is actually a huge reason why the Denver Broncos have the best defense in the NFL.

Not only do they have a fierce pass rush, but their secondary is very good, so both units work together.  The Vikes need to bring in a notable starter to shore-up their CB room, so I went with Shavon Revel Jr from East Carolina, who did tear his ACL a while ago.

Revel could be ready for Week 1 of the 2025 NFL Season, and perhaps the Vikings could get Revel a bit later if the injury takes his draft stock down.

26. Buffalo Bills - Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

The Buffalo Bills drafted Keon Coleman in the 2024 NFL Draft.  It seemed to garner mixed reviews, but Coleman has played quite well this season.  However, Buffalo still felt like they needed to make another move at wide receiver.

They recently traded for Amari Cooper who was formerly on the Cleveland Browns.  Well, could Buffalo again dip into the WR draft class in 2025?  Why not.  In this NFL mock draft, we have the Bills taking Emeka Egbuka from Ohio State.

Ohio State has had huge recent success of receivers making it big in the NFL.  A few names that come to mind are Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, and Terry McLaurin.  Egbuka could fall right in line with those guys and end up carving out a productive NFL career, especially if he gets to catch passes from Josh Allen.

Josh Allen has thrown just one interception this season and might just be the favorite to win the NFL MVP award in the 2024 NFL Season.

27. Pittsburgh Steelers - Emery Jones, OT, LSU

The Pittsburgh Steelers are an interesting team.  Justin Fields started the season for them and played pedestrian football.  He hardly turned the ball over, but the Steelers offense was limp.  He got sent to the bench in favor of Russell Wilson, and the Steelers offense has since come alive.  However, they did beat up on the New York Jets and New York Giants, so let’s not put too much into this.

Wilson still might be capable enough, but he’s not a long-term answer.  Based on the various moves the Steelers have made in recent years, I’d be shocked if they took a QB in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.  They probably have their eyes on more help along the offensive line and perhaps grabbing another wide receiver next to George Pickens.

In this NFL mock draft, I went with Emery Jones, a tackle from LSU.  Now yes, the Steelers are dealing with some OL injuries, but Broderick Jones hasn’t really panned out that much.  Being strong in the trenches is a huge reason why the Steelers have never had a losing record in the Mike Tomlin era.

But Tomlin and the Steelers defensive-minded culture is what is holding this team back.  They need to be aggressive for a QB next offseason, but I’m not sure they’ll do that.

28. Green Bay Packers - Jack Sawyer, EDGE, Ohio State

The Green Bay Packers can go in a number of directions in the 2025 NFL Draft if you ask me.  The one negative about being a young team like the Packers is that many of their players would be due for contract extensions at the same time, and I’m not sure they’d be able to keep them all.

The team needs to continue hitting on draft picks like they’ve done in recent years.  They’re 6-2 on the season and play the Detroit Lions in Week 9 of the 2024 NFL Season.  I went with Jack Sawyer from Ohio State to give them a boost off the edge.  If you told me the Packers went with a tackle here, I would not be surprised.  Green Bay could make a Super Bowl run this year, but I think Jordan Love needs to take care of the football a bit better for that to happen.

29. Washington Commanders - Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota

The Washington Commanders picking this low in the 2025 NFL Draft at this point is insane.  I had no idea the team was going to be this good, and heck, I’m not sure if Washington knew it either.  Rookie QB Jayden Daniels has played out of his mind this year and is probably the favorite for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

The Commanders were able to complete a Hail Mary as time expired in Week 8 to defeat the Chicago Bears, and they are also in first place in the NFC East.  This team is firing on all cylinders, and don’t look now, but their defense is beginning to put it together.  The team can go in a number of directions here, so I just went with tackle Aireontae Ersery from Minnesota.

They may end up being quite aggressive this coming offseason, so that could give them a ton of flexibility coming into the NFL Draft.  General Manager Adam Peters seemed to hit a grand slam with the selection of Jayden Daniels, so his job is getting a lot easier as time goes on.

30. Houston Texans - Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia

The Houston Texans aren’t excelling on either side of the ball this year.  They’re pretty average on offense and defense.  CJ Stroud is playing well this year, but the Texans are dealing with a ton of injuries as well.  DeMeco Ryans is a former NFL linebacker and was quite good when he played.  It would not shock me to see the Texans hit on a linebacker in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Stroud still gives the team a ton of room to go all-in until further notice, so they could again be aggressive in free agency this coming season, and we’ve seen a ton of first-round defensive prospects from Georgia make it in the NFL recently.  That could bode well for Jalon Walker who would be coming into an awesome situation playing with guys like Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson Jr.

31. Detroit Lions - Tyler Booker, iOL, Alabama

In my opinion, the Detroit Lions are the best team in football.  They have the best roster, a borderline top-5 QB, and are very good in the trenches.  Last offseason, they lost Jonah Jackson in free agency to the Los Angeles Rams, but they did replace him with veteran guard Kevin Zeitler.

Zeitler is on a one-year deal, so he’ll need to be replaced even if they bring him back in 2025.  I went with Tyler Booker from Alabama in this NFL mock draft.  Lions GM Brad Holmes has been a mastermind in the NFL Draft, so there is reason to believe Booker would be a home-run pick for the Lions.

This could be the year that the Lions get over the hump, as the San Francisco 49ers don’t seem nearly as good as they were last year.  That’s partly due to injuries, but it does open up a small window for the Lions to make a run.  They’re the best team in the NFL and could end up with the 32nd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.  Right now, they have pick 31.

32. Dallas Cowboys (via KC) - Tyleik Williams, DL, Ohio State

With the Kansas City Chiefs trading up to take TE Colston Loveland, the Dallas Cowboys get sent all the way down to pick 32.  But that’s OK, as Dallas does need more draft picks to re-tool this roster the proper way.  Well, their first-round pick in this NFL mock draft is Tyleik Williams, someone who could hopefully shore up their defensive front.

Yes, the Cowboys need another wide receiver and a starting-caliber running back, but come on guys, good NFL teams are built from the inside-out, so getting someone in the trenches is the obvious move here.  However, would this be a pick that Jerry Jones actually makes?  Maybe not, as he may want to take the flashy offensive player instead.

That wraps up our first round, so let’s dive into the second round now.

Round 2 - Analysis of Key Picks

33. Chicago Bears - Cameron Williams, OT, Texas

The Chicago Bears take another clear step to build around Caleb Williams and take tackle Cameron Williams from Texas. The Bears offensive line has not been great in 2024, so it could be a priority in 2025.

34. Tennessee Titans - JT Tuimoloau, EDGE, Ohio State

35. New York Jets - Walter Nolen, DT, Mississippi

In the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, the New York Jets do not take a QB and instead elect to bolster their defense line with Walter Nolen from Mississippi. They may be headed toward another year with Aaron Rodgers.

36. Jacksonville Jaguars - Jonah Savaiinaea, iOL, Arizona

37. New Orleans Saints - Drew Allar, QB, Penn State

Maybe a bit of an over-draft by the New Orleans Saints, Drew Allar from Penn State at least gives the team another young QB option with the chance to develop into a long-term player. Spencer Rattler and Allar could battle it out for the Saints QB1 job in 2025.

38. New England Patriots (via LV) - Wyatt Milum, OT, West Virginia

The Patriots trading down with the Las Vegas Raiders has still allowed them to draft key players. They take Wyatt Millum from Penn State and take yet another huge step to building around Drake Maye for the long-term.

39. Cleveland Browns - Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio State

40. New York Giants - Tacario Davis, CB, Arizona

41. New England Patriots - LT Overton, DL, Alabama

42. Miami Dolphins - Omarr Norman-Lott, DL, Tennessee

43. Cincinnati Bengals - Princely Umanmielen, EDGE, Mississippi

44. Dallas Cowboys - Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio Sate

45. Carolina Panthers - Tre Harris, WR, Mississippi

With Cameron Ward now the new QB in town, the Carolina Panthers take a WR in Tre Harris in the second round. With Harris and Xavier Legette as the two younger players in this room, the Panthers may not be super far away from competing if Ward ends up being a legit player.

46. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Kevin Winston Jr, S, Penn State

47. Seattle Seahawks - Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

48. San Francisco 49ers - Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

49. Indianapolis Colts - Jaxon Dart, QB, Mississippi

The Indianapolis Colts decision to bench QB Anthony Richardson was an odd one if they don't plan on going back to him. Richardson was and is a prospect and needs time to develop. Well, the Colts take Jaxon Dart in the second round of this NFL mock draft and hope that he can end their QB carousel.

50. Chicago Bears - Donovan Jackson, iOL, Ohio State

51. Arizona Cardinals - Derrick Harmon, DL, Oregon

52. Los Angeles Chargers - Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College

53. Denver Broncos - Evan Stewart, WR, Oregon

The Denver Broncos have taken RB Ashton Jeanty and WR Evan Stewart in this mock draft so far. It's clear that this team is trying to go all-in and make it work with Bo Nix, who has looked quite good over the last month.

54. Baltimore Ravens - Landon Jackson, EDGE, Arkansas

55. Atlanta Falcons - Harold Perkins, LB, LSU

56. Philadelphia Eagles - Danny Stutsman, LB, Oklahoma

57. Buffalo Bills - Shemar Stewart, DL, Texas A&M
